If you think it's good then that's great, of course, it's just extremely not for me and definitely did not help me out rn. I had to stop the 3rd episode.

I liked the way that some of the bits eventually pay off into something like a conventional punchline and some of them just leave you hanging. I agree about the anxiety dream thing, it's easy to imagine a sketch like the one with the guy's mate not liking the film he recommended being done with the shorter guy from Limmy's Show as the mate, but it feels so much more claustrophobic without them

It does feel weirdly appropriate for the moment, that claustrophobia, though. Lot of people rattling about alone indoors with their thoughts rn. Watched e3 last night and had tears running down my face.

Frankly I think Limmy's enough of a good weirdo that I could imagine him doing this show even w/o quarantine, so it's not been too bad on that front for me.

it was purely coincidental that this came out now, it was all conceived, commissioned, filmed and scheduled before COVID.

He's basically been doing this solo shut-in stuff ever since limmy's show finished in 2013 so it's hardly some spooky coincidence, just the world has lined up with his neuroses now

limmy was on Tim heidecker's "Office Hours" today which is, for me at least, a real world's collide moment of two of my favourite comedians of the 21st century. haven't watched it yet

Why would you read a book by a comic if you don't understand humour?

The perception of Limmy's book I'd picked up elsewhere is that he does come across as a vaguely disquieting empathy void and his partner is quite long-suffering, but those lot come across as such raging wankers on that bit

Haha, I don‘t get it, but my brother often does when he is working.

Shit on the internet so much, but I could watch him watching old UK variety and game shows for 420 hours.

I can watch his stream for ages but it's an on-in-the-background sort of thing usually. There is a yt channel which compiles short (like 1-2 minutes or less) clips too.

I enjoy sticking on the old TV 'analysis' or some of the video games he plays for twenty minutes here and there, but there does seem to be a lot of people who hunker down for a focused four-hour stream, which yeah is behaviour that's very alien to me.

Would love to see him work the best of his streaming raw material into proper sketches someday because I miss them.

Realize he has lots of unresolved challenges but anyway, he has wasted his talents.

Idk, some of his social media stuff is arguably the pinnacle. Those Vines!

Imo he is best when working with straight actors which gives a reasonable context to his whole thing.

He had the promise of a young Steve Martin or Rowan Atkinson. Someone who is just naturally funny with unique body language to express it. He could be making movies by now instead of retreating into a corner.

he was unhappy with the pressure of making TV shows, he's much happier doing this

i love that he’s stretching the boundaries of comedy, so glad that he’s embracing streaming and new tech.
