Meanwhile this is tearing through poor and nonwhite communities and frontline workers still don’t have adequate protection so the endless theoretical debate from amateur virologists/economists/behavioural scientists feels very bleak to me. Public mourning can be grotesque obv but I’m looking around and it really feels like 50,000 people just died and nobody gives a shit.
