Remember the Night is a very good film that has the unfortunate disadvantage of being the second best Christmas movie of 1940 (though I still haven't seen Christmas in July).

I like both of those W.C. Fields pics, but I think he works somewhat better in shorter bursts: The Fatal Glass of Beer, from several years before these two, is prob one of the funniest films I've ever seen.
