WFMU had a Halloween mix a few years back that included a version of John Cale’s Heartbreak Hotel played at 45 rpm (or something). It is freaky and super-demented.

Picked up Cocteau Twins' Victorialand over the weekend, and didn't realize it was 45 RPM -- at 33 RPM, you basically have a Beach House album.

If you play your Abba 'The Name of the Game' 45 at 33, you will find that it sounds just like Roxy Music circa Flesh & Blood. Similarly, if you play 'Oh Yeah' from Flesh & Blood at 33, it sounds like 1977 Abba.
