Both albums are on Spotify now, as well as still being on YouTube. I plan on listening on Spotify a few times and downloading when the servers are seeing less traffic.

good question! the only zip files I ever download are from bandcamp and WinRAR is just what I have installed

windows 10's support works ok as long as it's not a zip with a ton of files or high compression -- so, good enough for 90% of cases

This reminds me how I pay for Prime but I torrent loads of stuff that's on Prime Video cos that's the only way I can figure out how to get it on my big telly.

i love the og ghosts but these volumes are far more fleshed out and their own thing

Together was kinda wallpaper-y to me but maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it. Haven't made it all the way through Locusts yet.

Locusts sounds a lot more soothing than Together to me (also agree it's one of the best things he's done). One of the tracks on Together has this really high frequency tone overlaid on top that's bad enough that I have to skip it.

I tend to play my music on album-shuffle, so I never quite know what I'm going to get. My wife was chilling on the sofa by the stereo speakers while I think something mellow like Can's "Soon Over Babaluma" was playing, but then things got a little quiet and I couldn't quite make out what had queued up next. I look at what's about to play on my phone and see it's "The Downward Spiral" about to blargh out, so I quickly hit skip. "That was a close one," I told her. "You almost got Nine Inch Nailed!"

Here's a question: is there anywhere that lists all the appearances of what one might call the "NIN motif"?
