I never even considered this "band" would've been created for the series, but in hindsight it totally makes sense. Gonna listen at some point today.

Watching the show I swore that song with the "Be My Baby" drumbeat had to be the Raveonettes. Didn't hear it on the Spotify album until I skipped ahead to "Fly". I guess I like this stuff better in context through the ears of the show's characters as it were, rather than as a regular album on its own.

Since you sound like you've read the book, what can you say about how much the series diverges without giving any real spoilers? I heard there are some significant differences, but I have no idea what they'd be.

I have not read the book but the fact that there is the potential for a second season is already a big divergence.
