I did make a big dent in my haribo stash last night.

12 tetrapaks of soy milk

Lord I hate the shelf stable stuff. Gotta be refrigerated.

Where I am, Turkish shops still fully stocked with rice and (a bit less) pasta, so no need to set foot in a supermarket unless absolutely necessary. Didn't check the toilet paper situation though.

tt did an excellent meal plan for all of next week, and we proceeded to get it all from some fancy organic delivery service that probably costs 50% more than sainsburys #snob #winning

idk if this is sustainable

they don't have refrigerated soy milk here. They just started carrying fresh milk in the dairy section. I bought one once and tried to make paneer.

for those holding their breath in suspense... the paneer came out ok.

part of my "snobbery" I realize, is based on the fact that the main times I stock up on groceries are when I am coming down with a cold or flu. So the fact that the only soups left on the shelves were pho broth and bone broth was a total wtf for me, because those are things I would consider stocking up on if I was concerned about coming down with a respiratory virus and had to be quarantined. Also, oranges and grapefruit.

stocking up on wine and good liquor is totally sensible imo

hoarders did not empty the shelves of cilantro -- i was totally smh there, cilantro is so versatile! I used it in a curry on Friday night and in Mexican beans and rice dish last night ...

I love cilantro. It's a weekly buy. I don't get parsley though. I see it in so many recipes.

Couldn't do without either.

xp - yeah, i'm parsley agnostic really ... i recently (yeah, slow learner, me) came around to the crucial value of celery.

seven months pass...

you lost me at shredded cheese -- if you can afford a subaru, you can afford better cheese and a food processor.
