Joe Hart
Antoine Griezmann

ymo sumac (NickB), Friday, 21 February 2020 16:14 (four years ago) link

oddly enough i've just found out they were both brand ambassadors for head & shoulders, so maybe i just don't like their shampoo

ymo sumac (NickB), Friday, 21 February 2020 16:16 (four years ago) link

yes joe hart's decline has pleased me enormously. from 2nd best goalkeeper in the world behind manuel neuer according to p much every english pundit to not good enough to start for west ham or burnley in 3 seasons.

oscar bravo, Friday, 21 February 2020 16:18 (four years ago) link

actually i'm not sure if he's declined so much as found his level. will always have a fond regard for his role in england's defeat to iceland however.

oscar bravo, Friday, 21 February 2020 16:20 (four years ago) link

too obvious to say those cokehead thugs types like chris morgan, craig bellamy, etc?

first game i saw hamza choudhury play he pulled a fuckin shocking two footer on someone and he went right into my cunts book

BSC Joan Baez (darraghmac), Friday, 21 February 2020 16:20 (four years ago) link

xp hart == robinson in exactly the same type of "pundits top 5 in world" to "transparently shit and there's no longer any bluffing it" path

BSC Joan Baez (darraghmac), Friday, 21 February 2020 16:21 (four years ago) link

first row of image search of choudhury tackle shows him in rotten full leg lunges at other pros

you do it once, that happens, twice youre a cunt, three different times at the age of 22 in a google image search top five and tbh under my govt you no longer have a licence to play as a professional

McGeady

― Number None, Friday, 21 February 2020 15:26 (fifty-seven minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

I would wonder why you're piling into our fancy new signing like that but tbah in two games he's done shit-all, and Blackburn's first goal last week featured a truly cba leg-wave at their man as he drove across the box in search of an opening

imago, Friday, 21 February 2020 16:36 (four years ago) link

I honestly thought he'd retired

Number None, Friday, 21 February 2020 16:42 (four years ago) link

Lol well, I mean

(what exactly were your reasons? need to be forewarned)

imago, Friday, 21 February 2020 16:43 (four years ago) link

tbh a lot of the hate for McGeady stems from the fact that he should have been good

we were always told he was good

he wasn't good

Number None, Friday, 21 February 2020 16:44 (four years ago) link

did he just fall into a monopoly set? xps

ymo sumac (NickB), Friday, 21 February 2020 16:44 (four years ago) link

I'd accept a gold top-hat tbf!

Did we ever poll Owen's brand values? Cos I'm laughing pretty hard at "cool", "charismatic" and "clean and fresh" right now

ymo sumac (NickB), Friday, 21 February 2020 17:04 (four years ago) link

Savage's radio punditry would be enough without even taking his career into account

babby bitter (Noodle Vague), Friday, 21 February 2020 17:04 (four years ago) link

i now need brand values for all these pricks

mcgeady was the best player in the spl one season. a legitimately very good season of football which saw celtic win the title on the last day and get through the group stage of the champions league. that was, i think 07/08. he would've been 21/21. he's never had as good a season subsequently. i can't hate him due to the good times at celtic, but there is always the suspicion, for me, that he could've been better if he had had more discipline

Anyone who might be in a whatsapp group with Mark Chapman, so:

Danny Murphy
Jimmy Bullard
Phil Neville
Peter Crouch

Also Cristiano Ronaldo

crisp, Friday, 21 February 2020 17:11 (four years ago) link

I caught that Peter Crouch podcast on 5 live once, full of japery and laddy revelations like if he sees a footballer reading a book on the coach he will throw something at their head. ho ho ho.

an old associate of mine whose career high was playing for Accrington Stanley when they were in the conference once stayed at Savage's mansion when he had a trial at Leicester after putting in an uncharacteristically good performance against West Ham in the cup and he had caught O'Neil's eye somehow. Even though he is an absolute objectionable rude arrogant prick himself he said Savage was up his own arse and quite a rude arrogant prick!

calzino, Friday, 21 February 2020 17:16 (four years ago) link

Ronaldo is a saint and I won't hear a word against him

babby bitter (Noodle Vague), Friday, 21 February 2020 17:18 (four years ago) link

hating ex-players like Bellamy/Savage who are self-styled cunt personas feels like feeding the fire. I prefer to ignore them into insignificance

calzino, Friday, 21 February 2020 17:18 (four years ago) link

the idea of hating footballers has changed for me a little since one of my all time hated footballers - fernando ricksen - got ill and died from mnd and the fact that i had hated him suddenly seemed very silly

frederik b. godt (jim in vancouver), Friday, 21 February 2020 17:39 (four years ago) link

Is Dennis Wise not considered a cunt anymore or does he just pale into insignificance now? Anyway, latter-day Le Tissier and Suker surely, the latter is especially disappointing cos he signed a match programme of mine.

hyds (gyac), Friday, 21 February 2020 17:42 (four years ago) link

ugh yes dennis wise, though not quite as hateful as vinnie and fashanu obv

ymo sumac (NickB), Friday, 21 February 2020 17:49 (four years ago) link

I'd forgotten about that period of peak Dennis Wise when he was Leeds Utd manager !

another one of these products of nazi rape that was more worthy of hate than le tiss - graham le saux. Total fucking dingbat!

calzino, Friday, 21 February 2020 18:02 (four years ago) link

The nazi-rape quip is not mine btw, it is some Scottish coach who used it against le saux.

calzino, Friday, 21 February 2020 18:06 (four years ago) link

yeah i was going to mention Le Saux but hate is a strong word

“I paid a visit to David Bentley’s room,” writes Bullard, describing an evening on England duty when he was hungry after hours.

“Bents was a great lad. The bloke is an absolute wrong ’un, make no mistake about that, but a lot of fun nonetheless. He was always laughing and I mean, always laughing.

“I knocked on Bentley’s door which he immediately opened and he burst out laughing: ‘Wa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!’

“‘Bents,’ I said, ‘I haven’t even said anything.’

“‘Wa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!’

“‘Listen Bents, I’m starving. I’ve got to eat something.’

“‘Wa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! Funny you should say that. So am I.’

“‘How can we eat something?’ I asked him.

“‘Leave it to me,’ he said as he called a mate of his.

“Within half an hour, there was a knock at the door and Bentley’s mate was standing there with a large McDonald’s brown paper bag full of Big Macs and chips. You f***ing beauty!

“Bentley was also my partner in crime when it came to taking the p*** out of Mr Capello. I remember looking at the gaffer on my first day and thinking, ‘I can’t believe how much he looks like Postman Pat; it’s him!’

“Bentley obviously loved it — ‘Wa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!’ — and when we were on the team coach, we sat at the back and started singing the Postman Pat theme tune.

“A few of the boys joined in — I think Rio, Ashley Cole and Jermaine Jenas might have had a quiet little sing-along — but most of the other dry lunches weren’t really up for it.

“Another daft scheme Bents and I came up with was seeing who could say ‘Postman Pat’ as loudly as possible within earshot of the gaffer.

“I’d walk past Capello and say ‘Postman Pat’ out of the corner of my mouth, but Bentley took it to another level when he would walk straight up to the boss and scream ‘Postman Pat!’ in his face before adding ‘And his black and white cat!’ for good measure.

oh i don't feel guilty about hating him or anything. but it just undercuts the hate i have for current footballers, like in the back of my head I'm like "you would think 'oh that's a shame' if this guy gets cancer"

frederik b. godt (jim in vancouver), Friday, 21 February 2020 18:08 (four years ago) link

While he was tapping the sick at Hull he was widely rumoured to spend his extended holiday coked up to the eyeballs in local nightclubs

babby bitter (Noodle Vague), Friday, 21 February 2020 18:13 (four years ago) link

Btw I always always ALWAYS hated Beckham, even as a United fan, and I am always glad when something like his emails whining about not getting a knighthood emerges, cos really. Cruising on his looks and a few free kicks. Complete prick.

hyds (gyac), Friday, 21 February 2020 18:13 (four years ago) link

no way, beckham a sorely underrated player and imo a decent guy!

‘Scholesy’ is a wee fuck

Marco Materazzi - if Gab Marcotti and Jose Mourinho both love you then you are a cunt

crisp, Friday, 21 February 2020 18:18 (four years ago) link

Le Saux used to always make a big issue that he was a Graun reading footballer, and that is why most dressing rooms thought he was a complete arse.. because he was a moody, thoughtful outsider etc...but when his book came out it emerged he was actually almost as thick as Dean Windass. Not really hate though, more like what a prize prick!

calzino, Friday, 21 February 2020 18:18 (four years ago) link

Haha just thought of a good one...

A woman craves and needs a man who will take initiative, is decisive, and who has moral and physical courage.

Soft effeminacy, immaturity and weak morality is neither manly nor attractive to her.

I could spam the fuck out of this thread with my mental rolodex of died in the wool STAUNCH at birth savage brutal Huns but that's too easy and they're all essentially products of their environment just like I am.
Instead I'm going to pick on a clown who bought into that We Are The People bollocks. Nacho fucking Novo. If there's a snidier wee waste of fucking cells I'd hate to see it.
