There’s a reason stans keep saying the second half is “better” and it’s cuz “place” is the leak aesthetic whereas most of the rest is in the new style ... and I don’t agree that it’s just standard production, there’s clearly a curated sound here that separates it from the earlier stuff

I see some common sonic touchpoints but that’s a pretty disparate list of “influences” to suggest it’s a more conservative “midpoint” between the leaks and those. More like a ramped up version of those

Really I think the producer-auteurs prob most responsible for this sound are the working on dying guys who’ve been doing uzi’s shit but they went in a new direction here
