Romeo was simply too high to be traded.

lol the whole quote

“I forgot I was in the NBA,” Langford said. “Not in the NBA, but like, I forgot people get traded. Thinking like college. If you’re there, you just stay there. ... To be honest, I forgot I could be traded. That’s why. I wasn’t even thinking about it."

Jayson Tatum is the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, the NBA has announced.

That's two consecutive weeks a Celtic has received the honor. Jaylen Brown got the nod last week.

I've drafted Tatum on my $$$ fantasy bball team every year of his career and have yet to regret it.

reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 28 February 2020 20:35 (four years ago) link

Apparently Simmons has Tatum ranked above Luka on his pod with Zach Lowe today. Maybe it’s just Bill being Bill but that still seems like a crazybridge too far

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Saturday, 29 February 2020 00:52 (four years ago) link

let bill follow his muse lol

lag∞n, Saturday, 29 February 2020 00:53 (four years ago) link

tbc the topic was players from playoff teams you would want for the next 4 months only....tatum on an epic heater playing awesome help defense every night is very desirable in that capacity. luka rules of course but not on defense and i wouldn't be shocked if his first playoffs is a little shaky.

call all destroyer, Saturday, 29 February 2020 00:56 (four years ago) link

Yea I guess it’s a little apples and oranges bc Tatum is the best player and linchpin of a very well constructed team whereas Luka IS the mavs.

oh yeah that's the good stuff

call all destroyer, Saturday, 29 February 2020 15:16 (four years ago) link

one thing i noticed in that is he looks so much stronger this year from last particularly in the famous core strength just way less floppy on his shot and ball handling its really allowed him to tighten everything up

lag∞n, Saturday, 29 February 2020 15:19 (four years ago) link

definitely--he's getting to the point where he can drive, weather the contact, and either get fouled or wait for the defender to go past him and put up an easy shot.

Marcus Smart, who tested positive for coronavirus, has volunteered to donate his blood plasma for research.

game 6 now. 58-35 at halftime. just an absolute shitkicking at this point. the 2008 celtics were really good!

call all destroyer, Thursday, 23 April 2020 02:36 (three years ago) link

that team wins multiple rings in the vast majority of simulations run one has to think

lag∞n, Thursday, 23 April 2020 02:39 (three years ago) link

it's interesting if you look at it....pierce/garnett/ray were all between 30 and 32 in '08 so right at the point when you expect some declines to start. they also had a hard time finding bench guys after this season. in particular they never found another posey.

but yeah, if you take '08-'09 and '09-'10 together and think about the odds, in most scenarios they should have gotten another one.
