My account got suspended because I made a jokey threat. Has anyone else had to deal with this? What is the appeal process like? I'd appreciate any advice.

you delete or you stand ground and make a new account. if they don't give you the delete option then you're pretty much fucked iirc

fwiw I am still a tweetbot-on-mobile guy and refuse to change until it's a catastrophically different experience than the other (offical) clients

What I hate are the notifications that say "so-and-so liked a college basketball post. Was this helpful?"

Yes I believe I talk about it upthread. Jokey threat to David Cross. Appeal was obv never reviewed by a human. Appealed several times. Still suspended. It's been months. I delete the app cause fuck these dipshits. Don't miss it at all.

I’m having a hard time remembering what the initial clusterfucks were about, but I get the impression they’re a person who has lumped criticism of work in with abuse? While criticizing others in a way that does look abusive

Also a fair bit of the tendency to come up with takes that are completely orthogonal to what is actually going on, and taking people going “wait, what?” as a slight

the way I break it down is that idiot twitter people being abusive to you definitely doesn’t mean you are wrong, but it also does not mean you’re right!

feel like there are ppl who are internet vets that are basically numb to trifling behavior
then there are ppl who have not experienced deep online beef and are legitimately upset and bewildered
then there are ppl in the first category who are pretending to be in the second because it suits them

i think the platform is only fun if you have a checkmark honestly. "public" people seem to use it more, and it holds no appeal for me. even though let's be honest i would be the best tweeter of all time.

the most insane and thrillingly dystopian part of it these days is that people are always accusing others of being russian bots or trolls spreading disinformation
