Might it be an idea to, ahem, quarantine all virus-related threads to a new board so people can use the “hide board” option if they come here to get away from that stuff? I know moving threads crashes the site so maybe it’s too much hassle, just a thought

It’s infested a bunch of other threads already anyway. But maybe breaking ilx is for the best

I wouldn't have a problem with a dedicated board for new threads on the topic, especially if some people feel strongly that they need the option to take a break from it. But I don't know if it's worth it when the older, immovable threads will still be active, and people will talk about it on other threads too. Definitely not against it, though.
