I always do this with new Em records, check it out in hopes of enjoying the viscerally thrilling rapping, which there's always plenty of, but then inevitably get fatigued by the self-pity, tired jokes, and the nauseating syrupy stadium hooks. Not worth it.

one thing that is kind of interesting as Em has developed is that i think he started running out of words to rhyme with other words and he increasingly relies on breaking a word into two-parts at a syllable break so he can rhyme the first half of the word with the end of the next bar instead of the whole word
