this is not a band i got too familiar with, yet i somehow feel real familiar with while listening to them. whenever i see "rockpile" i think "oh yeah, my friends' older brothers and sisters were into them." but i listened and i'm liking that show.

I just watched “Born Fighters” the other day. It explains so much about the sound of “Repeat When Necessary” and “Labour of Lust”.
(Spoiler: the culprit is cocaine.)

I’m aggravated that half that complete Rockpile playlist I linked in the OP is no longer on Spotify.

A compilation of Rockpile tracks across Lowe and Edmunds albums (and labels) is like one of THE great albums, should it ever exist. I guess that's what Spotify playlists are for.
(To be fair, Labour of Lust is an f-ing great album on its own.)

Ah nm, NTI's OP had like a "box set" playlist, this one's just 71 minutes.

Dave Edmunds' Swan Song albums were off Spotify for awhile, but apparently the rights were in transfer and they've been back up for a bit.

But I’d have to add them again as they aren’t the same issue, I guess. I’ll make my playlist collaborative if anyone wants to add them before I get to it:https://open.spotify.com/playlist/18e6lnxLOYF3YONh4Skx6j?si=Dd7yeTRZSRq5WcIBXzIphg
