Christopher Beeny, jobbing British actor probably best known for playing Thora Hird's son in In Loving Memory although he was also in Upstairs Downstairs and the last 10 years of Last of the Summer Wine.

Now I can no longer say Oh! I Always Get Those Two Mixed Up! about him and Christopher Timothy, as mentioned recently on the thread of that name :(

It's Christopher Blake I confuse him with.

Kimbrough put out a six-CD set of every Thelonious Monk composition in late 2018 that's well worth hearing. The full band was a quartet (sax, piano, bass, drums) but they subdivided a lot from track to track. Some are piano solos, some are sax/drums, like that.

I didn't know much about him but did enjoy his Solstice album a few years back.

Not sure how Tommy Docherty managed to reach 92, to be honest. He must have been the oldest living man from the Gorbals ever.

I had no idea that Byker Grove lasted that long, I thought it was just 4 or 5 years. Many years after the last time I saw the show, I saw Purely Belter late one night and it seemed like it had a good chunk of Byker Grove's cast and it was such a weird time capsule into such a specific time and place.
