Body: 	Ok, so my good friend turned me onto this new band Franz Ferdinand. And may I say... freakin' AWESOME!! It has been so long since I heard songs sooo good and sooo rockin' that I have to blast it and actually jump around and dance and shake my booty! Seriously, this band rocks, and I mean that cool old fashioned funk edgey raw type of rock, with the catchiest hooks, but pure music all the way thru. An album that will make your head bop and foot tap involuntarily, for sure. Everyone should run out and buy it NOW!! You will NOT be dissappointed!

now i cannot for the life of me get "take me out" to stop playing in my brain. i think FF has probably cooked up the sweetest dish of 80s pop revival imaginable. i'm so like totally hurdling somewhere between the planes of "sunday bloody sunday", "puttin on the ritz", and "another one bites the dust" and the midget ghosts of kajagoogoo are dancing on my buddha belly.

If they're so great, how come they're not on MTV and no one cares?

Man people I know often argue that they sound like none of those awesome bands.

I've only ever heard the Morgan Geist remix.

More bands should sound like the Monochrome Set.

Belle and Sebastian, at times, like parts of the 3 eps that came out after If You're Feeling Sinister, had that El/early Cherry Red vibe, but most people didn't notice because they were too busy comparing them to Nick Drake and the Kinks. They even name-checked Felt. I'm really tired.

I supposed I joined in here because it seems pretty clear most of us agree that that their music is not deep and meaningful, yet the hate they extract from ILM outweighs the need, in my opinion, for what that's worth.

Hate away if you don't like it but why work the knickers into such a twist about these guys in particular? From what I've seen they don't even need to be taken down a peg, they don't put on airs as far as I know. Maybe that's changed and they need as much hate as possible.
