Dit heeft met jou niets te maken.

Ik geef nooit op.

Tegen wie denk je dat je het hebt?

Irae Louvin (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 5 December 2019 23:15 (four years ago) link

anyway, back to Duolingo. Seems that once one gets to Set 6 of the Stories, the questions are in the foreign language and the stories themselves are significantly more intricate.

Haha. “Wat is eigenlijk jouw probleem.”
My kid uses that line. Had to point out it’s a bit rude.

Life’s hectic and stressy but I try to keep doing my lessons. Have to say I’m much more at ease w talking (in the shop). It’s actually fun. Don’t think I have ever been as comfortable talking in french.

It does go very slowly these days. Not even past section 2. Argh.

nathom, Sunday, 8 December 2019 22:37 (four years ago) link

Dit heeft niets met jou te maken sounds more natural btw.

nathom, Sunday, 8 December 2019 22:37 (four years ago) link

Also wtf is the difference betw tous les jours and chaque jour? Just seems weird we can’t use the latter.

nathom, Sunday, 8 December 2019 22:38 (four years ago) link

in what context? they seem pretty similar

□ chaque jour. La tâche de chaque jour. ➙ journalier, quotidien. Périodique paraissant chaque jour. ➙ journal. PROV.

I'm sticking with this Gàidhlig course longer than i have with other languages i've tried on here.

I've started german (primarily using pimsleur but supplemented with youtube and duolingo). live with a fluent german speaker so trying to blitz a base in 6 months and then maybe try to switch to speaking german at home... see how we go

really found 'le journal en français facile' podcast useful for french listening practice - anyone know of a good equivalent in german? think you have to pay for 'news in slow german'

Deutsche Welle has slowly spoken news podcast every day

I did a few lessons of that but I think the Cymraeg is the flagship Celtic course here as I have slowly come to realize, so probably going to stick with that.

Too much time on Duolingo(and Drops, really): Saw a sign on a truck that said BIG REUSE and I thought for a second it had something to do with a Dutch giant.
