frogbs, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:36 (four years ago) link

yeah i mean when youre getting lit up by fred yr shit is prob just not working

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:37 (four years ago) link

have a hard time seeing the bucks beating the heathy clippers but the good news for them is the clippers stars are both injury prone

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:37 (four years ago) link

the thing with giannis is hes unstoppable in transition which by nature makes him a better regular season than playoff player

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:41 (four years ago) link

Milwaukee's biggest liability in a big playoff series is Eric Bledsoe, I dunno if he just gets the yips or what but his stroke is just way off when the pressure's on. even worse when he makes a run-and-gun 3 early and then proceeds to brick 8 in a row before half. if he's bad again this year and they get bounced I'm sure the "should they have kept Brogdon instead" talk will go the entire offseason

frogbs, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:43 (four years ago) link

well he is a coward

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:44 (four years ago) link

still im not sure giannis has ever proven that he can "get buckets when all the chips are in" like bron or kawhi

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:45 (four years ago) link

"should they have kept Brogdon instead"

was this an actual possibility

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:45 (four years ago) link

true but hes still only 24 years old

honestly I don't know how any front office stuff works but I remember when Bledsoe got his extension last year there was a lot of talk about how that money should've been used to retain Brogdon instead

That really isn’t bron’s thing

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:50 (four years ago) link

yeah i think brogdon wanted out after they went all in on bledsoe

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:51 (four years ago) link

trading for and spending big on bledsoe is the type of small mistake that keeps a team out of the winners circle

its one of his many things

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:52 (four years ago) link

Kyrie and Ray Allen were pretty good at it for him

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:52 (four years ago) link

Honestly can’t remember Lebron hitting a big shot in the playoffs. I’m sure it happened in some of his 300 career playoff games

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:53 (four years ago) link

those were two very great and important shots but bron "imposed his will" on countless big game situations

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:54 (four years ago) link

Giannis imposes his will pretty well

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:55 (four years ago) link

idk he kind got shut down or at least shut down enough by the raps, his lack of shooting makes his bag of tricks smaller

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:57 (four years ago) link

tbh going with Bledsoe makes some sense to me, he's faster & a better defender, plus Brogdon's had some injury issues. but Brog was pretty good in the playoffs, he was really the only dude for Milwaukee who showed up in ECF besides Giannis & Brook Lopez, plus that one Middleton game

frogbs, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 16:59 (four years ago) link

they could have kept brogdon. he was a restricted free agent. it was reported that he wanted out but it wasn't up to him.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:00 (four years ago) link

btw I know its still early but Giannis def seems to be making progress on hitting stepbacks and wide open 3s this year

his FT shooting on the other hand is very Shaq-esque

frogbs, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:01 (four years ago) link

yeah i mean its not hard to understand the bledsoe logic it just turns out hes a headcase who doesnt really do any particular thing that well

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:02 (four years ago) link

hes just not consistent. great role player but horrible 3rd best player on a team trying to win it all

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:05 (four years ago) link

meanwhile Brogdon seems like the kind of dude who makes everyone better, he has great court vision & shoots very well. he's racking up tons of assists on the Pacers which he didn't really do in Milwaukee.

thing w bron too is hed just take over a fourth quarter making a game winning shot unnecessary

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:08 (four years ago) link

lebron has the most playoff buzzer beaters of anyone

jesus is zing (symsymsym), Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:08 (four years ago) link

that too, especially heat bron. but he's hit lots of big shots!

jesus is zing (symsymsym), Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:09 (four years ago) link

when a very good team is all ok were gonna throw everything we got into stopping this guy and they just cant well thats the champ stuff

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:11 (four years ago) link

that weird banking floater to beat toronto was some true goat stuff

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:14 (four years ago) link

yeah thats the immediate one i remember

ciderpress, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:17 (four years ago) link

i don't really believe in the whole imposing their will thing though

ciderpress, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:18 (four years ago) link

idk i think being unstoppable is valuable

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:19 (four years ago) link

btw this year i became totally comfortable crowning bron the GOAT

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:20 (four years ago) link

i watched a lakers game where he demolished a fourth quarter cause he felt like it then saw some old jordan clips thatre starting to look old and was just like.......its time

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:26 (four years ago) link

now watch clips where LBJ quits on his team in ECF or where he loses a Finals to Dirk + role players while scoring < 18ppg on poor allaround shooting

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:35 (four years ago) link

lol I'm actually fine with anyone having him as their GOAT. He's very very good at basketball and has been for a long time.

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:36 (four years ago) link

and hes still dominant at 34, tho obvs doesnt have the energy level to do it all game every game

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:38 (four years ago) link

feel like you can make a case for MJ, kareem, or bron as the GOAT but that’s the list

peloton for the painfully alone (m bison), Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:40 (four years ago) link

yeah those are the guys

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:41 (four years ago) link

jordan was so captivating at the time but when i watch his clips now it just doesnt hit the same, the game has progressed, naturally

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:43 (four years ago) link

I don’t think some magical thing happens in the playoffs. Giannis is the best player in the world and the only reason he wouldn’t be the best player in the playoffs is variance. The same was true for Lebron.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:43 (four years ago) link

MJ's shooting % starting falling by that age, and points/rebs/asts were all down a tick. LBJ basically still has same numbers for all those as he did in the typical late 20s athletic prime.

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:43 (four years ago) link

There are certain players who don’t give a shit about the regular season and turn it on tho

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:44 (four years ago) link

imho the offs are different

lag∞n, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:44 (four years ago) link

ding ding ding. lebron couldn’t win in the playoffs until he did. same will be true for giannis

k3vin k., Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:45 (four years ago) link

i'm with matt on this one, the only magical thing that happens is every game is vs a good team that isn't resting any players

ciderpress, Tuesday, 3 December 2019 17:45 (four years ago) link

its not magical im sure u guys cld come up w some things thatre different about the playoffs its not hard
