100 Bands or Artists who are Never Likely To Be Mentioned on ILM Outside of This Thread

The band name makes them a pain in the hole to search, but Talons' don't seem to get a mention on here. If you're up for some creaking, odd folk music, somewhere between Scott Tuma's haunted back porch and a still-bearable Kozelek, this might be the thing. I can recommend Rustic Bullshit and Song for Boats (both on Spotify) or the After Talons' collection on Bandcamp (pay yer own price). It's all good.

until now.
picked up the cd years ago, but only added it to the digital archive a couple of days, so decided to check.
not so sure i have ever listened to it, which kind of answers the question i guess.

A bit of Googling suggests that Ilxor has never had anything to say about The Pale, who did "Butterfly". The Pale Saints yes; The Pale no.

Which is odd because they aren't that obscure. I've heard of them and I'm normal. Perhaps they're too obvious for Ilxor. Not obscure enough. But what is there to say about them?

And there was that other band. I can't remember them. They were... 1990s. Lady singer. One album. Trip-hop? One popular single in a movie soundtrack. What was the film? Virtuosity? No, no it wasn't. Dammit. Yesterday I managed to remember the 1986 interactive novel Portal, today I can't remember this one simple thing.
