At the height of the country and western boom in the UK in 1976, he had top forty pop chart hits with "You're My Best Friend" and "I Recall a Gypsy Woman".[10]
Was there a country & western boom in the UK in 1976? I don't have any stats to back it up but I think it is true that country artists stopped having hits in the UK in the 80s/90s and have never sold much since?

Development was directed by Tez Okano, who developed the game in secret for two years before presenting it to Sega. The company misconstrued the game as a joke at first and dismissed it, however a second presentation impressed them and allowed development to continue. Okano marketed the game himself with a small budget of $200, half of which he spent on a wrestling mask to conceal his identity.

His daughter is a teacher in New York City and his son is a very successful business man. His Irish talents are passed on to the rest of his family. His very successful son plays a guitar and his other daughter sings. The successful son’s son is a Boston University graduate and plays piano. Then his daughters kids play Gaelic Football and the girls play tin whistle and guitar. The son also plays the button accordion. Needless to say, the Irish culture has been passed down to another generation.

Players are called upon to pelt mutant artificial Christmas trees with snowballs, while avoiding the elves interspersed between the garishly colored mutant trees.[2][3] Mutant trees emerge from boxes that are marked "100% Fake" or "Made in China".[4] The trees, as the game says, have "mutated and are sucking the spirit out of Christmas".[2] The game features an "Xmas Spirit Meter" light which dims for every mutant tree missed or elf hit by mistake.[5] Between rounds the game provides "facts" about Christmas trees,[6] or, depending on your point of view, "didactic little warnings about the evils of fake trees".[1]

also i've been reading a lot about river ecosystems and pollution this week, and i could easily imagine that "biological productivity" just means that raising the temperature of the water facilitates a profusion of bacteria, which is actually bad for marine ecosystems, since they'll deplete all the available oxygen.

The theme song of the film, written by Cliff was actually a ballad depiction of how Cliff was in real life, the lyrics "he walks tall with his head held high, before he backs down he would rather die, he's a mean machine, none tougher than, the man, man, man, man-cunian man!" were EXACTLY how Cliff lived his life. To those who REALLY knew him, rather than those who knew him vaguely or claimed to know him; his true friends who lived day by day, shoulder to shoulder with him through the 1980s and into the 1990s saw him live by his words and actually led by example, often daring to venture where others genuinely feared to tread.
Cliff took a short break in December 1985 and January 1986 when he was invited to join his friend Brian in Iceland, this is where Brian was co-producing a play, Trafford Tanzi with Jon Paul Baldwinsson of the Icelandic National Theatre. It was there that Cliff met Brian's old friend and 4 time World's Strongest Man, [Jon Pall Sigmarsson]. More information is on the web site www.bs-v.tv which is the official website of one Cliff's closest friends through the 1980s and into the 1990s, Brian Sterling-Vete; Cliff's other great friend Stuart Hurst should also be consulted as he also worked super-closely with Cliff right through to the very end.

In 2015, after receiving criticism for insulting the founding fathers of the Dominican Republic in a music video, El Alfa was sentenced to 15 days of community service. The President of El Instituto Duartino, Cesar Romero called for the boycott and destruction of El Alfa's albums for having disrespected the founding fathers. Part of El Alfa's sentencing was to clean the Plaza de la Bandera and to sing the national anthem for two hours for fifteen consecutive days. Additionally, El Alfa was ordered to hand out educational pamphlets about the founding fathers at traffic lights in Santo Domingo. He considered the situation a misunderstanding.

Shuttle Carrier Aircraft:
The aircraft was extensively modified for NASA by Boeing in 1976.[2] While first-class seats were kept for NASA passengers, its main cabin and insulation were stripped,[3] mounting struts were added, and the fuselage was strengthened. Vertical stabilizers were added to the tail to aid stability when the Orbiter was being carried. The avionics and engines were also upgraded, and an escape tunnel system similar to that used on Boeing's first 747 test flights was added. The flight crew escape tunnel system was later removed following the completion of the Approach and Landing Tests (ALT) because of concerns over possible engine ingestion of an escaping crew member.

Nick steals his father's car to escape the police. He then removes his clothes and drives the car into a shallow lake in front of the police station. He buys a wig and a dress and impersonates one of Sheeni's "friends". He fools Mr. and Mrs. Saunders and goes up to Sheeni's room. Upstairs, Nick tells Sheeni that he understands what loneliness is like, and that everything he has done, including burning down Berkeley, destroying his parents' cars and having her sedated were all so that they wouldn't have to be alone anymore. Sheeni forgives Nick, and the two have slugs, finally achieving Nick's dream of losing his butt hair.
