I voted :) I didn't save my ballot. I went mixed, picked ten or fifteen songs I really love, then filled up to 100 with stuff I liked, or stuff I know I've enjoyed but couldn't sing a note of.

I’ll rep for Pharaoh Overlord – “Black Horse” (the studio version on the album Lunar Jetman) - 4 minutes and
20 seconds of heavy metal free jazz followed by 12
minutes of minimal & kaleidoscopic hard rock riffage

I'll probably vote for that along with my nomination "Rodent" which is just more in the way of slow-burn kraut-y deliciousness. Lunar Jetman is almost a perfect album imho.

I'm relistening to 13 Japanese Birds in the car, wondering if Pandi recorded the drums while listening to Merzbow's take or if they were both totally separate.

BTW I pretty much picked those two Merzbow tracks at random, obviously I haven't fully absorbed 15 hours of harsh noise enough to name tracks out of it. That's kind of how I feel about the whole poll, my weighted section was songs that stood out from their respective albums, and therefore mostly pop/punk emo stuff. I bet the mall emo is going to place well in the end results.

I'll do my best to get a ballot in for this but have basically no time for any new listening. The playlist is intimidatingly vast. Which is also probably a song on said playlist.
