― deems of internment (darraghmac), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:08 (four years ago) link
Even a couple of weeks ago we would have given up here.
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:13 (four years ago) link
Aurier with a thunderbolt!
― Srinivasaraghavan VONCataraghavan (ShariVari), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:31 (four years ago) link
Lovely goal
― groovypanda, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:31 (four years ago) link
trying different things in pass length, dele dropping back for second ball from headers, dele wanting it to feet from the centre halves
lots to like but individual competence has been awful tbh!

hows that not red
GOAL - Tottenham 3-2 OlympiakosSerge AurierComeback? Completed it mate.Serge Aurier finishes it beautifully at the far post, cutting across it with the outside-of-his-boot ala Benjamin Pavard. But less about the goal and more about the assist, it is fabulous work from Dele Alli, standing a defender up, upping the pacing then picking out his team-mate at the back post.Jose Mourinho already working wonders with the Tottenham squad.

Can't watch the match but the last bit surely is hyperbole? Smdh

Never in doubt.

idk man, some things have looked worse but individuals look to have been given a lot more licence also, can definitely see changing decisions all over the pitch
― deems of internment (darraghmac), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:36 (four years ago) link
Dele in particular looks like a different player.
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:38 (four years ago) link
Well I'll take it from you over the Nult Kru. 'Working wonders' just sounds like a stretch when yr playing Olympiakos.
― Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:38 (four years ago) link
xp
Also about to win two games back to back for the first time since April xps
― groovypanda, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:40 (four years ago) link
(hopefully)
dele had a terrible first half (along with son) but i think its going to take a while for them to realise that they can make different runs and choices out there again.
former looked unplayable at times in that second half
― deems of internment (darraghmac), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:41 (four years ago) link
Nah its fine I'm sure Mourinho will find a way to strangle the life out of them soon enough.
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:42 (four years ago) link
eriksen playing like himself again
serious indictment of pochs effect on players over four years if he starts to play to his ability again and alderweireld signs up
― deems of internment (darraghmac), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:43 (four years ago) link
yeah it's more like Mourinho hasn't had a chance to exert his influence on them yet
― Number None, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:53 (four years ago) link
possibly
pochles off anyway
― deems of internment (darraghmac), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 21:58 (four years ago) link
waiting for var to decide that that second psg goal didnt actually go in tbh
― deems of internment (darraghmac), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 22:30 (four years ago) link
This new Mouriniho is rather unsettling
― groovypanda, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 22:31 (four years ago) link
i tend to agree that it cannot last, danny rose would turn anyone, let alone mourinho on a knife edge
― deems of internment (darraghmac), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 22:32 (four years ago) link
He is much more interesting and compulsive now than he was at man u and regular viewers may know I'm a liverpool fan who was enjoying him running them into the ground. You just dont know what's gonna happen here. Maybe as a man who learns from his mistakes and matures he wont suddenly chuck it all in but... it's interesting waiting for it
The guy is charismatic what can you do
― or something, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 23:25 (four years ago) link
Dele's been improving with each game since coming back into the team but was shite for most of the first half here. Aurier plays very well 85% of the time & is scapegoated often to avoid pointing the finger at Alderweireld imho. I'm tentatively positive about Mou so far, simplifying, calming, encouraging. Who knew? Was horrible how anxy they were till the soft 1st Spurs goal.

I mean the best thing about Mourinho has usually been his ability to make quick, decisive, game changing substitutions and with the exception of CF we will usually have a strong bench.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 27 November 2019 09:04 (four years ago) link
Eriksen's performance was heartening as well.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 27 November 2019 09:05 (four years ago) link
What's Levy's plan with Eriksen? IS he still hoping to sell him off this January, or has he accepted he'll walk out on a free next summer?
― Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 27 November 2019 09:07 (four years ago) link
still offering terms i think
im not bothered by the difference between a pittance and a gap in jan vs free and a replacement in summer tbh

Napoli are a tough but to crack
Now, not to get beaten 2-0 away to Salzburg in the next game
― The World According To.... (Michael B), Wednesday, 27 November 2019 22:06 (four years ago) link
*tough nut
They haven't won in six games. Seven now.
― 'Skills' Wallace (Tom D.), Wednesday, 27 November 2019 22:23 (four years ago) link
that was a good game tho
jesus, napoli players wants the ball anywhere, technical ability so strong.
didnt think goal shouldve stood tho, clear foul on vvd

Minamino looks a player
― Number None, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 18:22 (four years ago) link
He does. I've no idea RBS can keep up using this much energy, but kudos. Salah and Mane could've scored, but RBS could've twice as well.
― Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 18:28 (four years ago) link
That should've been the 1-0, damn. (after a magnificent save by Stankovic on the other side)
― Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 19:03 (four years ago) link
Salah o_O

Ajax eliminated by a grindcore Valencia. You simply love to see it.
― Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 10 December 2019 21:54 (four years ago) link
Ajax had so many chances particularly near the end.
― The World According To.... (Michael B), Tuesday, 10 December 2019 21:56 (four years ago) link
They did. But they lost their cool, they allowed themselves to be bullied out of their game and get frustrated.
