that said idk how many open receivers there's really been

Nice when you can just rush 4 dudes and still get pressure

Gotta win the big one then we can talk

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Monday, 25 November 2019 05:30 (four years ago) link

There has always got to be that one sports talking head that claims it doesn't matter you don't like the Cowboys or the Patriots, as that game was like the highest rated regular season game on Fox since like 2007.

So get used to the Dak Precott contract talk...it ain't goin' nowhere.

so the Ravens look pretty good this year

frogbs, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:36 (four years ago) link

Niners v Ravens gonna be good

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:38 (four years ago) link

I really cannot compare how much the 'boys get the press compared to their now two decades of mediocrity.

Is there another team in pro sports that inspires such press compared to success on the field?

I suppose the English national football club could be considered one. Yanks have not won the big one in a while, but they have been better than Dallas in the regular season. Knicks obviously get a lot of press being in NYC and mostly for being absolutely terrible year after year. There are some people more than you probably would think that IU basketball is something of note, but not many don't have gray hair or if they do, they have been indoctrinated into the cult. (Probably could say the same about Nebraska football...moving to the Big 10 was so stupid for them.)

Niners v. Ravens is good possibility of Superbowl preview.

Ball control is going to be the big buzzword coming up, as people are starting to figure out it is a way to beat the big QB teams. I like it, running the ball is football. I am so sick of the spread and short passing game.

earlnash, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:43 (four years ago) link

Got to laugh at Gruden and the Raiders for puffing out their feathers after their win a couple weeks ago and declaring themselves victor of the big trade with the Bears turning around and getting destroyed by the JETS this week.

earlnash, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:45 (four years ago) link

The team that could be king if things were different is Indy. Not hard to see that club if Luck was healthy would be really tough. Brissett has been limiting his mistakes, but man he could not get the ball down field at ALL in the last game. The ground and pound game is good, but a bit more passing and they would be hard to stop.

cowboys have the cool star on their helmets

lag∞n, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:47 (four years ago) link

idk Cowboys getting repeatedly embarrassed in primetime is kind of a cool NFL tradition

frogbs, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:51 (four years ago) link

I hate the cowboys but getting beaten by the patriots by not much is not some terrible shame

Mordy, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:52 (four years ago) link

nah but frustrating to hold them to 13 and still lose

frogbs, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 04:01 (four years ago) link

patriots giving up ~11pts a game, crazy

lag∞n, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 04:05 (four years ago) link

apparently garrett's two FG decisions decreased the cowboys' chances to win by 3%. his first fg brought down the probability 2.5% on its own.

jacquees, full of cobras (voodoo chili), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 04:10 (four years ago) link

ol troy was not feeling those decisions

lag∞n, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 04:11 (four years ago) link

with last night's win the Ravens become the first team to win by 34+ points in 3 consecutive games

also the first to beat two winning teams by 34+

At some point people will recognize that the Cowboys have for like two decades been the most 9-7 team of all, basically the glam version of the Marvin Lewis Bengals.

Jordan Pickford LOLverdrive (Neanderthal), Sunday, 1 December 2019 21:40 (four years ago) link

Browns have Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt but still only manage six fucking rushing attempts in the entire second half. Fuck analytics.

Mr. Snrub, Monday, 2 December 2019 01:07 (four years ago) link

the patriots offense is honestly so bad

Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Monday, 2 December 2019 03:22 (four years ago) link

I can comfortably say we've seen the last of Tom Brady.

I kinda just realized that Gary Kubiak came out of retirement and is working for the Vikings.

Would not be surprised if Ron Rivera ends up the defensive coordinator in Chicago at some point, it seems like a Bears kinda move.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28227397/49ers-suspend-radio-analyst-tim-ryan-lamar-jackson-comments

BRADENTON, Fla. -- The San Francisco 49ers suspended radio analyst Tim Ryan on Wednesday after he said on a Bay Area radio station that Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson's dark skin helps him disguise a dark football when running fake handoffs in Baltimore's zone-read heavy offense.

Ryan will not broadcast Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints while serving the suspension. The Niners released a statement on the matter Wednesday evening from Florida, where they are practicing at IMG Academy in preparation to play at the Saints after losing 20-17 to the Ravens last week.

"He's really good at that fake, Lamar Jackson, but when you consider his dark skin color with a dark football with a dark uniform, you could not see that thing," Ryan said on air. "I mean you literally could not see when he was in and out of the mesh point."

omar little, Thursday, 5 December 2019 03:47 (four years ago) link

lmao Dallas getting their asses handed to them on national TV for the 3rd straight game

frogbs, Friday, 6 December 2019 04:06 (four years ago) link

Still first place in their division smh

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Friday, 6 December 2019 04:53 (four years ago) link

yeah this loss doesn't really hurt their chances that much. they pretty much just have to beat Philly in 2 weeks

Bears on the other hand still need to beat GB, KC, and Minnesota, plus they'd need Minnesota to lose one more & the Rams to lose 2

frogbs, Friday, 6 December 2019 05:12 (four years ago) link

cowboys got . . . trubiskied

mookieproof, Friday, 6 December 2019 06:59 (four years ago) link
