the fact they get treated as celebrities, instead of as suppurating parasites on the lives of millions of people around the world, suggests that the US would 100% embrace them as the leads of interlocking reality TV shows

(although a revival of their last one wld be my preference)

Two federal workers who were on duty the night Jeffrey Epstein killed himself in a Manhattan jail were taken into custody early Tuesday on federal charges related to their alleged failure to check on him, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.

The two federal Bureau of Prisons employees were expected to be charged later in the morning and appear in United States District Court in Manhattan.

The charges would be the first to arise from a criminal inquiry into the death of Mr. Epstein, who hanged himself at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.

The workers came under scrutiny shortly after Mr. Epstein’s death, because they were responsible for monitoring the high-security unit where Mr. Epstein, the disgraced financier who had previously been convicted of sex crimes, was being held.

eventually the four guards guarding the two guards who were guarding epstein will "fail" and the two guards will die and then the four guards who let the two guards die will get charged and go to jail and then eight guards etc etc until we all find out the truth

Simon H., Tuesday, 19 November 2019 18:50 (four years ago) link

we will be told that all the guards involved were "despondent"

NEW: Surveillance video shows that besides the two officers charged today, no one entered the SHU -- where Epstein was housed -- at anytime during the night he died, the indictment says. https://t.co/nEFKcWBT5U

It's used in UK politics all the time.

At the Home Office Reid hit the ground running.[6] He contended that rapid global change and the associated challenges of mass migration, terrorism and organised crime had overwhelmed the outdated Home Office approach.[57] Reid caused considerable controversy by attacking the leadership and management systems previously in place in the Home Office. He infamously declared it to be "not fit for purpose", adding the phrase to the British political lexicon,[58] and vowed to "make the public feel safe".[59]
