btw NOT THAT YOU ASKED but I had a nice dinner with a fun and interesting person. If your goal for meeting people is having a good conversation, rather than instant chemistry, the process is less frustrating.

Fairly new to Tinder/Bumble after separating from my wife earlier this year.
Have had a few dates and some interesting message conversations but man is Covid making it even more challenging at the moment.
Anyway, today received this opening message from a match with an unverified profile and assume it must be some sort of scam, right? (I've had a few conversations where we've exchanged numbers and switched to WhatsApp but pretty reluctant to start emailing someone straight out of the box)
Hello groovypanda, nice that you got lost here. If interested, I would be happy to hear from you ... who knows, maybe we will meet us here! I want to try to write, but not here. xx✧✧✧@ya✧✧✧.c✧✧

Yeah it does sort of look like it. Immediately going to an email address is fishy. I got into a really nonsense interaction with a scammer and the penny only dropped when they wanted to funnel me to some kind of fake-ass verification site that required credit card details. I didn’t get fully scammed but still felt v naive for having gone that far.
