felt bad for him but that was hilarious

frogbs, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 15:01 (four years ago) link

Each kick by that dude had more pressure than the last. Jimmy was bad but his receivers also dropped about 13 passes as well. Sanders has a hurt rib and Kittle was out so that messed him up a bit. He has about 2-3 per game that he just flat out shouldn’t throw. Let’s not forget Russell Wilson threw a pick last night at a huge moment.

jimmy really did look shook down the stretch, weirdly shitty game for being so close and two real good teams

lag∞n, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 15:20 (four years ago) link

He def looked shook

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Tuesday, 12 November 2019 15:48 (four years ago) link

stop being mean voodoo

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Tuesday, 12 November 2019 16:36 (four years ago) link

Cardinals have the worst defense in football so yeah

luckily they have GB next who are a bottom 5 defense in nearly every metric, lotta QBs having the "best game of their season" against them

frogbs, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 17:17 (four years ago) link

jimmy seems to make a few bonehead plays every game

lag∞n, Tuesday, 12 November 2019 17:17 (four years ago) link

Yup

cant believe he's gonna get suspended for helping Rudolph put his helmet back on

frogbs, Friday, 15 November 2019 13:19 (four years ago) link

Go Browns!

steve harvey oswald (brownie), Friday, 15 November 2019 13:24 (four years ago) link

Garrett gone for the year. Can't say I disagree. Dude plays some wildly undisciplined football at times, which is too bad because he seems like a good guy otherwise.

Rudolph did start it but didn't get fined or suspended (so far). Pouncey suspended for three games I think.

steve harvey oswald (brownie), Friday, 15 November 2019 18:34 (four years ago) link

yeah sounds about right. finally beating your longtime rival but getting one of your best players needlessly suspended for the year seems like a very Browns thing to do.

season long suspension was a given, I wonder if it'll go beyond that. I was always curious if a player could possibly be criminally charged for something they did on the field, I'm guessing the answer is not, but this is as close to "dude probably should be arrested for that" as I've ever seen. outside of Burfict I guess

frogbs, Friday, 15 November 2019 19:23 (four years ago) link

on the "on-field arrest scale" with 1 being throwing a punch and 10 being "pulling a Billy Cole" i'd put this at about a 4 or a 5.

omar little, Friday, 15 November 2019 19:27 (four years ago) link

First time the New Browns have beaten the Ravens and Steelers in the same season.

steve harvey oswald (brownie), Friday, 15 November 2019 19:43 (four years ago) link

probably would have been tough for the old browns to beat the ravens too

omar little, Friday, 15 November 2019 20:04 (four years ago) link

and it only took 21 years

mookieproof, Friday, 15 November 2019 20:16 (four years ago) link

there was only 8 seconds left in the game pretty sad.

How the fuck did the Falcons start 1-7

Head coach was trying to be the defensive coordinator

Heez, Monday, 18 November 2019 01:34 (four years ago) link

Ryan got hurt for a couple of games and Julio Jones I think just came back a couple weeks ago too from injury.

So many clubs come out of the gate so poor, you really cannot tell how good they might be for a while.

B-more took apart Houston. They were not in the game. As long as Jackson keeps healthy and not turning over the ball, they are going to be really tough to beat. He makes it look so easy on these seemingly busted plays. The ball control angle of their offense makes their defense even better. Ravens are looking as good as ever on that side of the ball. Atlanta was good on D a couple of years with Vick, but they were never top of the league and Baltimore is definitely in the top tier. Being best team in the NFL in November is often not the same one in January...

its funny that the spread is the standard way to bet when odds align better with whats going on the field, mb ppl just dont want to do math

lag∞n, Monday, 18 November 2019 23:08 (four years ago) link

only saw the 2nd half tonight but thought it was very excellent, particularly the houston O indy D match up kinda cldnt have been better every play was so tight and some truly perfect pass and catches happened

lag∞n, Friday, 22 November 2019 05:19 (four years ago) link

That was a really close game, one that it really did come down to just a couple plays either way being the difference. I hope the best for Brissett but the Colts could not get very many passes down field at all. Joseph made a heck of a play on the one throw to Hilton that was on the money.

Texans have gotten run over on the ground, as Indy could pretty much run the ball most of the night coming after the Ravens left tire tracks on them the week before.

earlnash, Friday, 22 November 2019 06:21 (four years ago) link

legit have no clue how good either of those teams are. Texans are a lot of fun but yet again their ceiling seems to be a first-round elimination. Colts are just all over the map - they could be 8-3 if Vinatieri makes the kicks he usually does, but at the same time they have a ridiculously soft schedule. I'm glad the dropoff from Luck to Brisett hasn't been so steep...not convinced he's gonna stick around long but he's pretty decent

frogbs, Friday, 22 November 2019 15:32 (four years ago) link

The Browns won!

Jordan Pickford LOLverdrive (Neanderthal), Monday, 25 November 2019 01:31 (four years ago) link

That tripping call vs Dallas was some bullshit. They should’ve gotten a chance to win the game.

frogbs, Monday, 25 November 2019 02:37 (four years ago) link

9rs and pats are going to meet in the superbowl and the final score will be 10-6

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Monday, 25 November 2019 04:14 (four years ago) link

yeah wanna say "Rodgers looks off today" but this defense is really fucking good today, he's got nowhere to go

frogbs, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:16 (four years ago) link

Nice when you can just rush 4 dudes and still get pressure

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Monday, 25 November 2019 04:18 (four years ago) link

ofc losing your best OL probably doesn't help

frogbs, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:18 (four years ago) link

rodgers still looked pretty bad tho

call all destroyer, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:20 (four years ago) link

u know who looked bad today? i was at the philly game and it is tough. saw one fan ejected for bad behavior in the second half when things were really dire. the weather was v cold and wet but one fan in i think an attempt to raise the spirits of the crowd took his shirt off and made "make some noise" gestures he looked extremely cold. my nephew is 6yo and came it was his first game and when we were leaving a guy cried to him "i'm sorry you had to see that" and then to us "i spent so much money and came so far to see them disappoint me" and then muttered to himself as he walked away "why am i so emotional about this." i think my nephew had a good time tho bc he doesn't really care who wins he got to eat a sausage, lots of popcorn, got a pin and toy and certificate, and hung out w/ his uncles. grim afternoon for the eagles tho.

Mordy, Monday, 25 November 2019 04:30 (four years ago) link

right he's been forced to play perfect and definitely he hasn't been that

that said idk how many open receivers there's really been

Gotta win the big one then we can talk

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Monday, 25 November 2019 05:30 (four years ago) link

There has always got to be that one sports talking head that claims it doesn't matter you don't like the Cowboys or the Patriots, as that game was like the highest rated regular season game on Fox since like 2007.

So get used to the Dak Precott contract talk...it ain't goin' nowhere.

earlnash, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:34 (four years ago) link

so the Ravens look pretty good this year

frogbs, Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:36 (four years ago) link

Niners v Ravens gonna be good

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 03:38 (four years ago) link

I really cannot compare how much the 'boys get the press compared to their now two decades of mediocrity.

Is there another team in pro sports that inspires such press compared to success on the field?

I suppose the English national football club could be considered one. Yanks have not won the big one in a while, but they have been better than Dallas in the regular season. Knicks obviously get a lot of press being in NYC and mostly for being absolutely terrible year after year. There are some people more than you probably would think that IU basketball is something of note, but not many don't have gray hair or if they do, they have been indoctrinated into the cult. (Probably could say the same about Nebraska football...moving to the Big 10 was so stupid for them.)

Niners v. Ravens is good possibility of Superbowl preview.

Ball control is going to be the big buzzword coming up, as people are starting to figure out it is a way to beat the big QB teams. I like it, running the ball is football. I am so sick of the spread and short passing game.
