Thirding the hard-nomming for Scrooged. I was so 'ehh' about that movie for the longest time but at some point it clicked and then it clicked hard and now I kinda can't get through the season without watching it. I think 'asshole Bill Murray finding redemption via mystical means' might be my favorite microgenre.

Look, I know it isn't feature length but because it was a direct-to-video release it technically isn't a TV special, either, so I think it's only fair that this be included among the nominees for any poll of filmed holiday entertainment.

That's the biggest reason I didn't nominate it--if I had, I wasn't going to vote for it anyway.

I think there's a stronger, albeit still iffy, argument for nominating Goodfellas. The post-heist bar scene is among the film's best, and there are three classic Christmas songs on the soundtrack (Ronettes, Darlene Love, Drifters). But I'll leave nomination up to someone else--I'd probably pass on voting for that too.

Tales From the Crypt (1972) or just the Joan Collins segment "And All Through the House" if you prefer.
