i still totally believe in him, like obvs u never know if a player will fulfill their potential but its def there imho

lag∞n, Saturday, 2 November 2019 02:08 (four years ago) link

i agree in that the things he needs to get better at are easy to identify and mostly fixable. at 21 he still has a ton of time to add strength which is what i think will help him the most.

call all destroyer, Saturday, 2 November 2019 02:10 (four years ago) link

yeah hes actually got a kinda huge frame

lag∞n, Saturday, 2 November 2019 02:11 (four years ago) link

oh yeah the capacity to add some bulk is there.

call all destroyer, Saturday, 2 November 2019 02:13 (four years ago) link

glad it seems like hes taking his time w that, bulking up fast is an injury vector, and bulk is not really exactly what youre looking for anyway

lag∞n, Saturday, 2 November 2019 02:15 (four years ago) link

spurs are kind of a bad team without dejounte

Pure muscle bulk was more a factor in the 1990s NBA than now.

if you were watching tonight's game with no knowledge of the last 10 years, you wouldn't necessarily think that lebron james is better than luka doncic

J0rdan S., Saturday, 2 November 2019 03:45 (four years ago) link

Otm.

Also I’m def sticking to my the bucks really screwed up by not keeping brogdon thought leadership

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Saturday, 2 November 2019 03:49 (four years ago) link

ya thats lookin p good right now

lag∞n, Saturday, 2 November 2019 03:50 (four years ago) link

Don’t think we’ve talked about how good doncics body looks this season. Imagine if Jokic cared as much as doncic.

watching lebron so far this season it seems like he's *really* picking his spots

Hella good vibes are back in boston

That was a very similar play to the one where Kyrie snapped on Hayward for passing it to Tatum last year. Tatum hits it this time, sending Kemba wild with joy on the other end of the court after the game ends. He was high fiving fans and everything.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:04 (four years ago) link

luka looks concussed

J0rdan S., Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:04 (four years ago) link

lakers are going to need to upgrade on a lot of things

call all destroyer, Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:04 (four years ago) link

But they're getting beat by a team with less talent as is

Or are they lol

kuzma not getting crunch time minutes on either end of the floor tonight

J0rdan S., Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:07 (four years ago) link

vibe check

Marcus Morris said he’s happy for the Celtics. Said their energy feels good and they seem to be enjoying themselves.

Lebron picked his spot this game

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:14 (four years ago) link

Was about to yell at screen if they didn't call LeBron for forearm shove. 2nd play in a row he did it

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:16 (four years ago) link

otoh, porzingis was completely absent from the mavs offense in crunch time and all of over time

J0rdan S., Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:26 (four years ago) link

harrison barnes, so clutch

pissed I missed this one

Clay, Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:34 (four years ago) link

Yah zinger didn’t look too pleased. The one chance he had he threw it to the lakers bench.

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:41 (four years ago) link

hope they're doing concussion protocol on luka
dwight kinda down low stealing that game with a bonk and a grab

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:47 (four years ago) link

Porzingis got confused by the color of Lakers warmups right? Hard to tell from camera angle

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Saturday, 2 November 2019 04:50 (four years ago) link

Yah looked like it

de-mamba mentality (Spottie), Saturday, 2 November 2019 05:37 (four years ago) link

lol the pivot to tank mode is swift

It continues to pile up: Draymond Green’s left index finger is bandaged up. Says he has a ligament issue. Couldn’t grip the basketball with it. Unsure if he will play tomorrow night. pic.twitter.com/2lIRbievCo

gsw should trade dlo asap before he demonstrates how little he moves the needle

micah, Saturday, 2 November 2019 11:23 (four years ago) link

all the other playoff contending teams in the west are happy enough to see gsw tanking. it's a tough world out there.

A is for (Aimless), Saturday, 2 November 2019 16:48 (four years ago) link

its v good for 19-20, imo teams on the bubble should make some short-term trades to take advantage of this window. i fully expect gsw to be contenders again next year.

i'm not a government man; i'm a government, man. (m bison), Saturday, 2 November 2019 16:52 (four years ago) link

they might contend, returning to dominating status will take a lot

lag∞n, Saturday, 2 November 2019 16:58 (four years ago) link

best path forward seems to be moving dlo and whatever pick they get for a bunch of guys and hope their core keeps performing/stays healthy

lag∞n, Saturday, 2 November 2019 16:59 (four years ago) link

worst case scenario their pick isnt that good dlo becomes unmovable and they cant stay healthy

lag∞n, Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:00 (four years ago) link

Draymond is getting significantly worse each year. They need more talent.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:18 (four years ago) link

Always possible that they nail next year’s lotto pick.

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:18 (four years ago) link

im not sure if i see that this a bad turn of events for russell's trade value... he's gonna have his hands on the ball every possession and score 1 million ppg. i don't think any team that already liked his game is gonna find much to dissuade themselves if the offense has to fully orbit around him. i don't think losing a bunch of games w/ a glorified d league roster is gonna matter too much.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:18 (four years ago) link

if it's true that the wolves are hell bent on getting russell bcuz him and KAT are bffs, the warriors could pick up guys who could actually help them next year. covington would be perfect for them as an igoudala facsimile, and they could def use guys like okogie and layman. culver doesn't look impressive at all really but maybe that looks diff at the end of the season. wolves would prob need to send a pick back or w/e but i think the warriors will be able to figure a trade out.

J0rdan S., Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:22 (four years ago) link

Big issue with DAR trade is finding a team that needs a pg badly enough

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:23 (four years ago) link

It would be nice to see Kerr adapt and change the offense in a way that lets Russell win them some games

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:25 (four years ago) link

i feel like russell will end up on a team like the charlotte, orlando, detroit, etc the usual suspects that would otherwise never be able to sign another team's young star to a max deal

J0rdan S., Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:27 (four years ago) link

it's hard to find a good team that could use him or would have an incredibly compelling case to acquire him aside from the t wolves

J0rdan S., Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:28 (four years ago) link

DAR is clearly a lunatic and a lot of bad teams are gonna be scared off by that

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:33 (four years ago) link

Btw when do we need to start believing in this Devonte Graham thing

Matt Armstrong, Saturday, 2 November 2019 17:33 (four years ago) link

huh, i hadn't been paying attention, might have to watch a hornets game.

in college he seemed like a guy who might stick in the league as a backup, but didn't really have an elite skill. that 3pt % is probably not sustainable.

circles, Saturday, 2 November 2019 18:33 (four years ago) link

feel like in several years when luka has multiple MVPs I’m gonna remember that game last night against lebron
