š¦[Seeing a lot of Kings fans blaming Luke Walton in response to this. But who put the Kings together? Who drafted Bagley over Doncic? Who drafted Papagiannis? Who traded a first for Stauskas? Who gave Barnes $20M? Who gave Dedmon, Ariza and Joseph a combined $37M? Vlade Divac did. https://t.co/Fh3bMuvSqYšøā Kevin OāConnor (@KevinOConnorNBA) October 31, 2019šø]š¦

i didn't see koc killing some of those moves in his preseason power rankings.
overseas trip plus bagley injury covers a lot of their woes but i'll be somewhat surprised if luke walton is as good as joeger.

The Kings have a ton of talent which is why everyone is freaking out
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 31 October 2019 13:56 (four years ago) link
i'd back that up to maybe just "talent"

KAT is ultimately a dork and Embiid is ultimately an asshole, was kind of glad to see KAT scrap a bit but he cares to much to get into it on Twitter

NBA needs a true heel, i'm ok with Embiid being it when that's so clearly what he wants.

Warriors should be fine, Iāve been told many times that Draymond is actually their most valuable player
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 31 October 2019 14:44 (four years ago) link
seems like they're going to trade bogdanovic, i guess what they get back from that is pretty important. other than hield's shooting and fox as a transition pg i'm not sure what they're really outstanding at.

OG anunoby looks like Pacers Artest and Siakam looks like the best power forward in the East.

i feel like the kings had smoke blown up their asses all offseason for showing the bare minimum of competence despite essentially accomplishing nothing (9th seed but 9 games behind no 8), and just came into this season thinking they could show up and compete for the playoffs, without remembering that they're the kings and such things should not be taken for granted
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 31 October 2019 17:15 (four years ago) link
seemed like they could get to 42-44 wins with improved depth and development but that looks like it's out the window

First week in the NBA has been very very dramatic!

I think itās crazy to say baynes did something that is dirty or can be taken out of the game. If heās looking at a much quicker guy coming straight at him the only options are standing still or tackling him.
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 31 October 2019 21:32 (four years ago) link
i dont think baynes did anything dirty. but the charge rules as currently enforced encourage defenders to slide under players in mid air, which is bad. kds original foot injury happened in a similar cirumstance for instance.
ftr this is the only rule id change to benefit offensive players. elsewhere id like to see a return to the old interpretation of offensive fouls when the shooter creates contact ala

the hawks have done some nice things with their role players, and trae and john collins both look like the truth. but reddish and hunter look multiple years away from contributing offensively to me.
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 November 2019 01:46 (four years ago) link
eh i haven't watched the game but it looks like hunter had a bad night. previous to the last two games, he's been very smooth offensively. surprisingly so. Reddish's competence on defense has been the thing that's stuck out for me so far.
― Heez, Friday, 1 November 2019 01:51 (four years ago) link
never like it when teams talk themselves into the mature low celling high floor guys at the top of the lottery re hunter, u gotta be swinging for the fences there, reddish taken lower makes more sense at least hes tall and can shoot
