President Trump said Thursday that he plans to attend Game 5 of the World Series at Nationals Park on Sunday if the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros are still playing, though he did not confirm if he had been asked to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

“I don’t know. They’ve got to dress me up in a lot of heavy armor — I’ll look too heavy,” he responded when a reporter asked him about whether he would take the mound. He appeared to be making a reference to a bullet proof vest that presidents sometimes are required to wear by Secret Service when they are amid large crowds.

Trump’s attendance at the 41,000-seat stadium in Southeast would mark a rare time he has ventured into the District’s entertainment and nightlife scene, other than his occasional visits to the Trump hotel a few blocks from the White House. It could also mean increased security restrictions at the ballpark for what is expected to be a standing-room-only crowd.

I have to believe the Astros would be happy to cut ties with Osuna, too--he's far from irreplaceable, if you ask me. He's not a free agent till 2022, so I guess they'd have to trade him.

I definitely hope Trump throws out the first pitch. The booing would be deafening, and I bet he throws the most perfect strike ever five feet wide and ten feet too high.

Or, more realistically, one that bounces a third of the way to the plate.

Astros GM Jeff Luhnow was asked whether he had personally reached out to @stephapstein to apologize.
Luhnow said he’s been busy and hasn’t had the time.

i def would love to cheer for the Nats but, not unlike the braves where i do an about face every time i see them doing the chop, i will instantly go back to loathing them the second i see some corrupt war criminal mother fucker clapping and having a grand old time cheering for them. i may be able to subdue these feelings if they can restrain themselves some having any of the worst that city has to offer throwing out the first pitch or being involved at all in any official capacity.
