I don't know how you arrive at that last point: to the contrary it will be the holdouts who are remembered for doing so decades later. I didn't see a lot of the Nats this year but what I'll take away from a couple concentrated weeks of e.g. Anthony Rendon is 1) excellent baseball player and 2) has principles.
