yeah that worries me. brady didn't have a chance on some of the first half sacks it looked like
that was fun. the lower part of fedex was like 75% pats fans?! it was kind of ridiculous.
the guy cueing the music for the stadium had to have been trolling in the second half. i heard 'crazy train' at one point (which they play at gillette when the team runs onto the field) and i thought, that's weird, like i've been to a half dozen washington games and that's not their usual type of music. then josh gordon gets a first down and they played the theme from Flash Gordon & we're all looking around like ??? & toward the end "your love" by the outfield which.. they play every 4th quarter in foxboro

don't want dan snyder to find out and fire the dude, it was like a pats home game already but i was like.. wait they're playing this??

haha that rules. idk why but your love has become an unofficial pats anthem. it might be scott zolak's fault.
― call all destroyer, Sunday, 6 October 2019 22:21 (four years ago) link
yeah i think it is? the one time i was at foxboro it was so much hair metal, plus like jump around. ugh
but the hatcats usually have hip hop, some go go and they have their own marching band which i really enjoy at football games in general. nfl in washington dc could be so great and snyder has made it so terrible. if only someone else could buy the team, change the name and move them back into the city

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/10/06/even-tom-brady-thought-it-was-ridiculous-how-many-patriots-fans-were-fedex-field/
“It was amazing … Surprising and overwhelming,” Coach Bill Belichick said. “It was great seeing that. We appreciate the support from all our traveling Patriot fans. Or maybe they’re from here. I don’t know. It was great to see them. That’s awesome.”
I'm sure NE wouldn't have been paying attention to what a dumpster fire the hatcats are, but no one following DC sports is surprised. wish the owners could get together and do something to get snyder out of the league

how many times have i heard this disappointment from joe buck and troy aikman in America's Game of the Week as the cowboys fail in their own stadium again? i feel like it's a lot

my eyes were rolling out of my head when he started in on that. the rule was fine with everybody until the patriots won another playoff game.
pretty ragged so far tonight on both sides.

decades from now only one of us will be able to look back and say 'i was there for jay gruden's last game as coach of the hatcats'
― mookieproof, Monday, 7 October 2019 13:16 (four years ago) link
don't think it's frustration with the OT rule so much as it is the fact that no one outside of MA likes the Pats so it's been frustrating to watch them get every possible break

everyone loves the patriots they are americas team

Every week on Jay Gruden's show he is given the "Bob's Discount Furniture Hot Seat Challenge." See if you can tell at what point in the season they started second-guessing this segment... pic.twitter.com/fs1a8HPKFF— michael phillips (@michaelpRTD) December 22, 2018

i thought this was going to be sad but it was too much fun. eli has reached enlightenment but he isn't going to tell anyone
https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/10/10/eli-manning-future-after-benching-according-to-friends-family
At Ole Miss, Manning’s karaoke machine had been his most prized possession. Nights out often ended back at his apartment, with the quarterback in jean shorts and a tank top screeching out Elton John, Def Leppard and Johnny Cash to a packed room.
When people tell him to start a Twitter account, he truly doesn’t understand why anyone would care what he has to say.
Years ago, on a flight home from London with friends, a loud explosion shortly before takeoff caused panic and forced everyone to deplane. In the terminal afterward, friends realized they didn’t know where Eli was, so they notified a flight attendant. Manning was soon found, fast asleep in his seat.
Eli didn’t speak until he was three, not because he couldn’t but because he didn’t want to.
It all reminds one friend of something Manning told him back in high school, that his ideal career was to be a 15-year NFL backup.
At one point, of course, Jack Handey is mentioned, and Manning’s eyes light up. He lifts himself off the couch and dashes to his study. When he returns he’s holding two books of Deep Thoughts, and as friends gather around he flips through the pages, reading his favorite quotes aloud.

That Steeler's win was a fugly game of beauty, got to admire winning that game with the walk-on QB. Bears historically have been good at this type of football.

I don't think Lamar Jackson is as fast as Michael Vick but he is really, really fast. Jackson is pretty good in the short passing game, he's got some touch. I'd say he's already better than Vick was at that part. Vick had a howitzer of an arm, no comparison there.
― earlnash, Tuesday, 15 October 2019 00:33 (four years ago) link
Vick made me crazy watching him run the ball leaving it all palmed out like a basketball. He lost a bunch of fumbles because of that stuff.
