A new dawn in terror- Brokencyde are surpassed by Attack Attack!'s "Stick Stickly" and the emergence of CRABCORE

I love how the keyboard player isn't plugged into anything, no power, no cords to the amp, nothing.

I also love how the kid walks in right as the trance synth kicks in. Not only will the other kids not let you in to the show, but when you do finally sneak in it turns out that they were all going to see Aqua.

So I had to stop by the mall to pick up something for my wife and decided to stop in Hot Topic. Don't laugh, its one of the few brick and mortar stores in my area that regularly carries Century Media and Nuclear Blast releases. ANYWAY. Brokencyde and Attack Attack were everyfuckingwhere. I mean, they had AT LEAST 30 copies of each and tshirts tshirts tshirts. Apparently this is most definitely a THING.

hopefully attack attack fares better than brokencyde did in wikipedia's estimation of their relevance

The most instantly recognizable signifier of a band within the crabcore oeuvre is the presence of an Arch Cancerped (literally translated; "chief crabwalker"). The Arch Cancerped (or ACP) is an individual member of the band whose duty it is to set the speed, intensity, and depth of the crabwalk in a given piece of music. The fact that the running-in-place move appeared at the same time as the crabwalk, and no-one involved in the scene has had time to discuss this move speaks volumes for the influential nature of the crabwalk.
