Breath of Fire 1 & 2. I like the first Breath of Fire better than any of the Final Fantasies, I think.
I've half-heartedly tried to get into Super Metroid before, but the beginning seems boring and then stupid hard. Somebody school me as to why I should persevere?

breath of fire 1 and 2 are a little on the bland side iirc but i also don't really like FF4 which is the FF they'd be closest to.

i do like breath of fire's gimmick where every party member is some sort of animal or monster person and not a human

The SNES games feature online play, right? does this mean we’ll be able to play Mario kart together? Or will they fuck it up like they usually fuck it up? I’m cautiously optimistic because they seem like they’re doing a much better job with the rest of the snes rollout (including rewind)
