I don't know, what's so strange about the second clip? he just sounds tired and looks a lot older like all presidents do after a few years. didn't he just get back from the G7? he's probably just wrecked. I mean there's plenty of other examples of him doing straight up word salad, that's just like bored and tired

The Trumpers boasting about how Yam is the first president to get better looking/age in reverse since taking office are really searching for things to praise him for.

^Basic ground-floor cult-of-personality type propaganda. Joseph "Man of Steel" Jughashvili would understand perfectly.

I have not forgotten that when it was announced that I was going to do The Apprentice, and when it then became a big hit, helping NBC’s failed lineup greatly, @DebraMessing came up to me at an Upfront & profusely thanked me, even calling me “Sir.” How times have changed!— Donald J. it’s true, starring in a successful television show and murdering children in concentration camps are the same and should be celebrated as such

When it was announced sometime in mid-late 2003, and then but somehow also at the same time when it became a hit in Jan-Feb 2004, Debra Messing approached him at an upfront in May of some unspecified year with tears in her eyes and called him Sir, because his TV show that had about 20 million viewers was on the same network as her TV show that had about 20 million viewers.

IIRC, NBC was still doing pretty well then, so if anything The Apprentice hurt them in the long run.

Yeah, The Apprentice was one of those genius moves by Jeff Zucker that prioritized what was cheap and succesful in the short run, while in the end running the network into the ground. It was definitely a succes, but the idea that NBCs 'lineup' was failing in 2003, or that they got better in the next years, is... Well, why even bother pointing it out...

Some fun quotes in here.
"No one knows what to expect from him anymore," one former White House official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal conversations about the president, told Insider. They added: "His mood changes from one minute to the next based on some headline or tweet, and the next thing you know his entire schedule gets tossed out the window because he's losing his s---."..."People are used to the president saying things that aren't true, but this Alabama stuff is another story," the former official said. "This was the president sending out patently false information about a national-emergency situation as it was unfolding."..."He's deteriorating in plain sight," one Republican strategist who's in frequent contact with the White House told Insider on Friday.Asked why the president was obsessed with Alabama instead of the states that would actually be affected by the storm, the strategist said, "you should ask a psychiatrist about that; I'm not sure I'm qualified to comment."...Indeed, one person who was close to Trump's legal team during the Russia investigation told Insider his public statements were "nothing compared to what he's like behind closed doors.""He's like a bull seeing red," this person added. "There's just no getting through to him, and you can kiss your plans for the day goodbye because you're basically stuck looking after a 4-year-old now."
