Digging the Glass beach. Thanks for the rec. Reminds me a lot of The Brave Little Abacus but with more video game music influence.

I finally figured out what Glass Beach reminds me of - the second Paper Airplanes record. (the Glass Beach is way more unhinged and ambitious tho)

lastly idk how I missed that there's a new Tiny Moving Parts out Friday and they've released three excellent advance tracks? nothing really new but no one else writes concise hooky math-emo quite like them

I wanted to like that Microwave album a lot because it reminds me of so many bands and sounds that i love, but couldn't fully get into it. I've been obsessed with the Glass Beach album since mentioned in here. Jesus. seem like really nice people too. got back to me after I said some nice things on instagram and they were lovely. Hope they come to ny.

it might have been a mistake to instinctively skip last year's Cursive record cause the advance tracks from the new one are sounding solid

holy crap this glass beach album is so balls-to-the-wall, it's like if los campesinos wrote the soundtrack to la la land

the new 95-minute Jeff Rosenstock record gives you a very good sense of their show right down to the anti-harassment warning, even if I'm mad "Get Old Forever" somehow didn't make the cut

Has anyone else tried the Weatherday album? Strong Brave Little Abacus vibes, but much faster and brighter. It takes roughly two seconds to begin digging the album a lot, and although it doesn't sustain that heart-in-stomach feeling all the way through, there are some insane highs.

good question. haven't listened to the full album yet, but the singles were all excellent.

i'm obsessed with the album. it gives me goosebumps.

i thought Plastic Cough was OK, but this one is a huge leap forward (pardon the cliche)
