I saw that a couple things on my Steam wishlist (Into the Breach, Wargroove) are on sale. Should I wait for BF instead?
― Antonym Scalia (Leee), Monday, 11 November 2019 19:01 (four years ago) link
Nah, Steam event sales ain't what they used to be.What I WOULD do is check the games on isthereanydeal and compare to their historical lows.
― Nhex, Monday, 11 November 2019 21:44 (four years ago) link
Ah, thanks for the tip!

Steam autumn sale is up, probably the most interesting thing is that weird Steam controller which they are discontinuing and so now selling for £4/$5 plus shipping.
― ( X '____' )/ (zappi), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 23:02 (four years ago) link
there's a better than usual sale on google play (the android store) too. Lots of board games adaptations.
― wasdnuos (abanana), Tuesday, 26 November 2019 23:26 (four years ago) link
already bought the weird Steam controller, i've always been curious how it feels. strange that they're killing it after just having released Index, though
― Nhex, Wednesday, 27 November 2019 01:47 (four years ago) link
Portal 2 is 71p in the stream sale!
Might take a punt on Dead Space - lots of reports of problems on win10 but it's cheap enough to risk.

― calstars, Wednesday, 27 November 2019 23:29 (four years ago) link
I could never get the hang of the Steam controller, I even offered it for free to a friend who refused it. I guess I'll keep if for historic reasons now then.
picked up Tron 2.0 for a couple of quid, other than that nothing on my wishlist at any decent discount. Might have a browse tonight though.

I own a good chunk of this, but 100%-to-charity game bundles are my Proustian madeleines. Besides already being incredibly cheap at $40, it gets pro-rated down if you own pieces of it already, which you probably do. Ends tonight.

Man, imagine wasting my life playing through Legacy of Kain again. But in a good way!
― Andrew Farrell, Sunday, 10 May 2020 09:04 (three years ago) link
Yeah that ended up at £20 for me because I already have everything I want from it. Bought it anyway. :-/
― JimD, Sunday, 10 May 2020 11:12 (three years ago) link
I downloaded Legacy of Kain collection a couple of years back and realised that none of the 3d ones have built-in controller support, and the cameras for early 2000s games are way worse than you tend to remember. Watched some fun outtake footage of Simon Templeman and Tony Jay camply bantering between takes on Soul Reaver recently tho 🤘
Steam codes going if yous want any of these:

(though it's pretty unlikely someone would have that one bookmarked and not this one)
