yeah Lowe is only like once or twice a year tho

i didn't know him before but i've grown to really like him over the course of his appearances on bill's pod....his sense of humor is very dry and weird and mostly based on really subtle and quick meta jokes about being a media talking head. he's also good on actual sports. i don't always agree with his nba takes but he definitely comes to them from an authentic place.

he did this bit on bill's pod a couple months ago about his worst year ever and it was just him factually describing shitty things happening to him as a broke and directionless dude in his 20s. it was so good it was almost poetic.

yeah the 2002 rant was so good. I was in hermosa/Manhattan beach last week and was hoping id run into him roller blading or something lol.

omg i just found it again, the part where he proposes to his elementary school teacher gf at the school in front of children and she says no is classic material

sometimes he and bill get a liiiittle too bro-y for me... but as far as basketball goes he def knows his shit

one thing i do hate about them is they have this tic where they refer to anything as "the [x] thing" ... "and then the brogdon thing happened" "are we gonna talk about the griffin thing" and sometimes they'll just refer to a "thing" esp from the past where you're like wait that's a thing? i really hate it

haha they def overdo the "thing" thing

hope they dont oversaturate and only do like once every few weeks or something (probably wont happen)

he's just never going to say anything interesting. i never heard him say anything interesting for however long he was playing.

yeah he's famous and will continue to be famous independent of basketball so it's not surprising that the TV networks would be after him even tho cad is 100% right

wade as a tv personality will be like webber on quaaludes

c webb is cool tho, he doesn't say much but he has a good vibe. wade is cheesy

_ Knuckleheads with Q Rich and Darius Miles is pretty fun but they are kinda boring, got some big guests like KD, Kobe and Wade
_ Matt Barnes and Stack Jack got one on showtime called All the Smoke. I like it so far, the JR smith one was pretty good

i really like jared dudley on everything i hear him do. he breaks things down but also has grounded opinions and doesnt seem scared to rustle some feathers. im sure he'll have a voice in the media post retirement

jj's transformation from duke superstar who writes poetry about how hard it is to have haters into well liked low key nba role player is pretty stunning tbf

dude turned into the best hired gun in the league somehow. figured out just enough defense to be able to stay on the floor with any lineup. he looks pretty bad this year so far tho so it may be nearing the end of the line

it must suck to have millions of ppl continue to judge you for how you were when you were 20. not just speaking about JJ but pro atheletes in general.

My memory of redick was that the defense was good by year 2 because the offense was struggling and he needed to compensate.

imo he’s a classic example of a guy who does everything pretty well and one thing very well

also has a great motor cool with just running around the whole game. he's a master of off-balance shooting, feel like he shoots as good fading to his right as he does completely set

he also got into sick shape, has to be one of the best-conditioned guys nowadays. for a guy who was wildly entitled and overrated coming out of school i give him credit for figuring out what he needed to change to stick in the nba and making it happen.

That was the first clippers team that made people really think things could change there. Obviously the Elton Brand teams fulfilled it.

nah that would be the early 90's teams with Manning imo , they made it to the playoffs for the first time in LA two years in a row.
