What are some interesting user-created levels?
Inspired by the "hardest mario maker level of all time". I like how it takes an existing stage and makes it different. Seems like a lot of creators go the hard route, but I'm more interested in levels that take games in unexpected directions.

Back in the early 2000s I played a lot of tracks that people made for Need For Speed 4.

I had no idea until a couple of days ago that apparently the only way to post a crazy Mario Maker level is if you're able to complete it yourself. Which, given some of these levels I've watched people play, is crazy! And i guess weirdly impressive.

My biggest experiences with playing user levels:
Duke Nukem 3D - lots of random stages, most of which were trash but i got some laughs out of them.
DROD (turn based puzzle game, kind of like sokoban but with enemies) - many stages were better than the stages in the main game. I believe the guy who made Stephen's Sausage Roll made a few.

Not exactly levels, but there are hackers on PC Dark Souls that play as 'bosses' they create
