long islanders can catch sweetwater at the port washington library on friday for free. they were the second act at woodstock, following richie havens. technically they were the first "band" to play woodstock.

Seeing an alto player who was not Maceo, as well as one of his students.

Wife and I ended up seeing La Boheme at the Met, Ain't Too Proud- Temptations show, and David Byrne show, plus a tour of the Apollo, but no music in clubs on this trip. Well, there was a jazz/blues /soul barband at Red Rooster in Harlem where we had brunch after the Apollo tour.
