Ah darn it. Between working from home that day and a 7:30am train Saturday I don’t think I can make it.

So it's FAP 2nd August?

It's been so long, I wouldn't mind making it Glasshouse Stores for old times' sake.

delighted to say i'm free for this, and will be coming off the back of a substantial do the night before so will be hungover and ready for more. (cut to wan figure in corner sipping elderflower cordial)

I might suggest doing this in Bloomsbury instead of Soho - close enough for Mr and Mrs Deems but also helpful for people who want to attend both events.

The pubs will be less mental as well, especially out of term time.

bloomsbury a good idea. never quite sure about pubs round there. the lamb's more holborn-ish I guess.

The Lamb has an upstairs now which (as long as it isn't booked out) makes it a lot more FAP friendly.

Opening gambit - The College Arms on Store Street, just off Tottenham Court Road. This has serviced a reasonable-sized gathering pretty well in the past although I can't remember if booking ahead was required.

In my experience the Fitzroy is always unpleasantly busy on a Friday.

College Arms is fine imo. Wouldn't go near Charlotte Street - wot Matt DC said.

then over to college arms (which is where i had my pub-meet after day one of the conference i ran at birkback so that will be nice) 6ish?

FYI there’s a table for 10 reserved under my name. If you think you’ll get there early and don’t know my name shoot me an email at enbb28 at the g mail and I will inform you. I will be there between 5:30 and 6 but hopefully closer to 5:30.

I didn’t know how big a table to request but figured that if there are by more than that at one point some can stand etc
