Pitching another monster game through 5 (59 strikes, 19 balls!).

Somewhat related: going to the Canadian HOF for the first time on Wednesday. I hope there's more than a Fergie Jenkins jersey and a couple of Joey Votto's bats...

For a long time I just assumed Tim Raines was canadian because he got inducted there.

Would love to learn why LB Pearson is inducted if you can report for me.

My guess would be he had a hand in getting Montreal a team--he was PM up till '68? I think there are a bunch of non-Canadian Jays and Expos in there.

So...he liked baseball seems to be the reason.

Not sure if it will last--attendance is understandably sporadic--but I've been doing a couple of volunteer hours per week at the Canadian Baseball HOF. (As I mentioned when I moved to St. Mary's, a five-minute walk from my house.) I was scanning old Expos photos this morning, as they digitize their collections. Chris Nabholz, Bob Natal, Graig Nettles (had to check the spelling), Al Newman, Reid Nichols, Steve Nicosia, Otis Nixon; I'll have to mention that they need a file for Tom Nieto.

Back in the spring, but thus far it's been a lot less glamorous than I envisioned a year ago. I thought I'd be out clubbing with Carlos Delgado and John Olerud; mostly I've been weed-whacking around park benches.
