The page now shows 29 copies available. I feel like artists do this on purpose to get people to order quickly. If either of these guys ever complain about streaming royalties after charging $55 for 20mins of music, they can die in a fire.

A chunk of that is for shipping though. Looking at vinyl prices, £30 for a small press issue doesn't seem that extravagant.

groovypanda, Tuesday, 18 June 2019 07:59 (four years ago) link

They better not be lying about the total pressing too. This is the third time I’ve been had by intentionally misleading bandcamp “x copies left” slimy sales tactics. The other two times my fav store Commend (mentioned earlier) had them in stock a week after they “sold out” on bandcamp. It’s a bit shitty to drive sales by going “well yeah technically this particular box has 20 copies left in it so it’s not a lie”

Sure, $30 for a small press is fine, and yeah, the shipping does make it much worse, but what are the options? You can only buy this if you agree to the shipping fees, so shipping is part of the price of this item. This won't be for sale in my (or your) local shop.

brotherlovesdub, Tuesday, 18 June 2019 16:52 (four years ago) link

I hope not, or I'll feel like even more of a sucker.

The Sad About The Times compilation on Anthology is excellent and well worth checking out for fans of melancholic, 70s FM folk rock

Vinyl Factory very wrongly tagged that comp as Yacht Rock so I had to quickly adjust my expectations when I started listening.

That Gumba Fire comp from last year sounding absolutely fantastic out the garden in this hot weather

Thanks for the heads up on Pilotwings, groovypanda! After that I checked out the Molitor 71 EP and it's great so far.

Now this is really nice. Much more dreamy and relaxed than their albums.

Hi, here comes some new music I made last year for a ciné-concert of the movie from 1930 called People On Sunday! https://t.co/ydT0bSSxbC

Not that those are all nature themed, but anything that fits in with the vibe

Evan, Monday, 10 February 2020 16:26 (four years ago) link

Is this a spotify list and can it be shared?

Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Monday, 10 February 2020 16:37 (four years ago) link

It is not, but it can become one! Not sure if all of that is on Spotify.

That was actually a back up plan if I was unable to connect the playlist from my iphone to whatever system will be there.

Evan, Monday, 10 February 2020 16:41 (four years ago) link

It does all mix very nicely when shuffled

Evan, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:19 (four years ago) link

Curious as to what this is - 六月花 (June Flower): 緑の丘 (Green Hills), 赤い夏 (Red Summer)
- 地球 (Earth): ジャングル (Jungle)

I am using your worlds, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:31 (four years ago) link

try some Almunia, Hatchback, and Windsurf.

omar little, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:38 (four years ago) link

Um. The Hiraeth link is a little weird; it's the bottom left album that shows up when you follow it.

Evan, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:39 (four years ago) link

thanks! xp

Evan, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:39 (four years ago) link

Don’t forget Sorcerer with the Hatchback and Windsurf

mmmm, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:43 (four years ago) link

Not electronic but the compilation for the extended surf shop / label promo called “Self Discovery for Social Survival” from last year might fit.

mmmm, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:47 (four years ago) link

The promo itself has some nice surfing footage!

mmmm, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:48 (four years ago) link

Greeen Linez’ Things that Fade

mmmm, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:49 (four years ago) link

you can also easily slot this into that playlist

omar little, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:49 (four years ago) link

it has the right spacey balearic guitar vibe though it depends on your feeling towards TWOD maybe

omar little, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:50 (four years ago) link

Sounds nice! But maybe not tropic-lounge enough

Evan, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:56 (four years ago) link

Redafs - Melancholy Gamelan Feel (it's on spotify, youtube video is not available)

omar little, Monday, 10 February 2020 17:58 (four years ago) link

Thanks all again by the way.

Also just want to mention Immersion II by Deepchord is one of the most beautiful & relaxing tracks I've ever heard ftr. Lots of beauty in this collection of albums but that track just nails it (on the ambient side).

Evan, Monday, 10 February 2020 21:41 (four years ago) link

check these out too!

Eleventeen Eston - At The Water
Pablo Color - La Calle Roja

Some comp recommendations that don't entirely fit the nature brief but am going to mention anyway:

- The three La Torre Ibiza compilations are all brilliant.
- 'Chill Pill' from last year: https://www.discogs.com/Various-Chill-Pill/master/1601376
- Isle of Jura have a new comp coming out shortly: 'Transmission Two' that looks promising (tracklist below). First one also worth checking.

1. Carl Craig – C Beams Glitter (Versus Version)
2. Bochum Welt – Greenwich (Mix 2)
3. John Rocca – The River Must Flow (Zulu Dub)
4. Daniele Patucchi – People Come In
5. Hit Man – Future Times
6. Sapho – Le Train De Paris (Jura Soundsystem Edit)
7. David Arch – Afro Culture
8. Zann – After Work
9. Hirini Melbourne – Waiata Ki Te Ra
10. Jeff Bridges – Feeling Good

millmeister, Tuesday, 11 February 2020 10:37 (four years ago) link

Second those La Torre comps.

Also Chris Coco's Balearic compilations
