When aiming to procure more potables at a local brewery, I quoted the chorus of Fairport Convention's masterpiece "Come All Ye" to those joining me, leading a friend to reply "Come All 'Ye'", as in Kanye?". Then, light-bulb moment - the 12/8 shuffle of Richard Thompson, Dave Swarbrick, and Sandy Denny is just perfect for the heavy 12/8 percussion, raps, and "ay-AHHH!" screams of the drum-and-voice-only sections of Kanye's "Black Skinhead"! Thanks to the wonders of Audacity, it wasn't too difficult to mash together (the tempos are damn-near identical).

Mr. Crowley,
Why don’t you come to your senses?
You been out ridin’ fences for so long now

At the moment in my head the verse of Mr Crowley goes into the last lines of the theme from "The Story Teller"

Sometimes there are tears
Sometimes there is laughter
But always
A happily ever after

Overhead the albatross
Hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
The echo of a distant time
Comes willowing across the sand
Calls to mind a silver screen
And all its sad goodbyes

Not quite the same but my brain is convinced that 'Everywhere' by Fleetwood Mac has the lyrics of Wannabe

If you want my future
Forget my past
If you wanna get with me you... better make it fast
Now don't go wasting
My precious time
Get your act together we will be just fine

Mysterious and spooky
They're altogether ooky

I knew this idiot in high school that though Champagne Supernova and Wonderwall were the same song.

He kept singing

I saw you walking down the hall
Faster than a cannonball
You're my Wonderwall

master of nuggets (Neanderthal), Thursday, 12 December 2019 16:35 (four years ago) link

I think I do this one both ways:

D-d-d-danger watch behind you
There's a stranger out to find you
So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world

And

There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do, I'll be right behind you
What to do, just grab onto some
DuckTales!

"Turn around / Stick it out / Even white boys got to shout / I've seen it all / Go[in'] down / The game of love was all rained out" sung to the pre-chorus of "Stayin' Alive" hasn't failed to enter my head 2-3 times a year since probably 1992.
