yeah dubs have played a ton of games and their bench has completely deteriorated, lot of stress on the stars
― lag∞n, Friday, 14 June 2019 15:10 (four years ago) link
the league looks wiiiiiiiiiide open next year now. there are legit like 10 teams that can make offseason moves to contend now.
― hollow your fart (m bison), Friday, 14 June 2019 15:17 (four years ago) link
Raps apparently the only team in NBA history to win a title with no Top 10 draft picks on their roster, that's pretty cool
― frogbs, Friday, 14 June 2019 15:20 (four years ago) link
yeah kawhis the highest at 15, crazy
― lag∞n, Friday, 14 June 2019 15:21 (four years ago) link
In the regular rotation, Danny Green and Powell were drafted at 46, Gasol at 48, and FVV went undrafted

Anyways, cosigning here:https://deadspin.com/we-must-remove-mark-jackson-from-nba-broadcasts-post-ha-1835398227breen, burke and billups would be fine by me. JVG is occasionally good for a non-sequitur, Jackson is just the worst
― Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Friday, 14 June 2019 15:33 (four years ago) link
dubs are still probably a playoff team with steph, dray, plus a bunch of scrubs, but who needs that stress/wear & tear.
― old cloud yells at man (voodoo chili), Friday, 14 June 2019 15:43 (four years ago) link
the steph slander today is unreal. i guess people just didnt watch the series and just waited for him to miss a big shot so they can say some stuff.
bob meyers has his work cut out for him. wonder what kind of options are open to them with the player exemption rules due to injuries.
― big city slam (Spottie), Friday, 14 June 2019 15:57 (four years ago) link
lol draymond almost had a quadruple double last night . . . with the fourth category being turnovers
― mookieproof, Friday, 14 June 2019 16:02 (four years ago) link
he gave it everything but had about 7 head scratching plays including the gamble to steal vs siakim at the end.
― big city slam (Spottie), Friday, 14 June 2019 16:06 (four years ago) link
I'm not the biggest Steph fan but he played really well p much the whole series. Haters gonna hate etc etc.
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Friday, 14 June 2019 16:21 (four years ago) link
i don’t think it’s slander to say he needed to be better last night for them to win.
― call all destroyer, Friday, 14 June 2019 16:35 (four years ago) link
well ok. but he's not the reason they lost the series.
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Friday, 14 June 2019 16:37 (four years ago) link
steph and kawhi both seemed injured to me
― reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 14 June 2019 16:39 (four years ago) link
as they say in hockey, at this point in the season everyone's injured
― mookieproof, Friday, 14 June 2019 16:41 (four years ago) link
yeah steph didnt shoot well last night for sure. but dont forget he shot three full court heaves at the end of quarters so he doesnt care about his shooting %'s. im more confused by kerr not putting the ball in his hands and just letting him go to work. he had ZERO iso plays in the 4th and only a couple PNRs.
― big city slam (Spottie), Friday, 14 June 2019 16:47 (four years ago) link
he was below 50% FG each game of Finals, that's about all I can criticize. thought he actually played good D at a few key moments in various games.
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Friday, 14 June 2019 17:00 (four years ago) link
raps were swarming him and the dubs didnt have scorers to make them pay
― lag∞n, Friday, 14 June 2019 17:18 (four years ago) link
him and dray def made some bad decisions but thats what happens when youre over matched, which of course leads to exhaustion which compounds things
― lag∞n, Friday, 14 June 2019 17:19 (four years ago) link
otm
― big city slam (Spottie), Friday, 14 June 2019 17:20 (four years ago) link
im proud of everyone on that team man. boogie showed a lot of ~grit~ he got us to the edge steph just didnt make the last shot

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/26971803/decimated-warriors-already-unfinished-businessthis klay/kd thing has me bummed today more than anything. (roughly) a year w out those two is just lame.
― big city slam (Spottie), Friday, 14 June 2019 17:22 (four years ago) link
that they stayed in the game after klay went down is a testament to their ability to hold things together w duct tape really, felt like they shdnt have been in the game all night tbh but they were

if you need a friend I'm a Bulls fan and I can offer some advice based on twenty years of experience.
― omar little, Friday, 14 June 2019 17:24 (four years ago) link
Only one player in NBA history had more triple-doubles in a single postseason than Draymond Green's six this year. Wilt Chamberlain.
― reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 14 June 2019 17:26 (four years ago) link
Klay and Kevin should start a podcast
― reggae mike love (polyphonic), Friday, 14 June 2019 17:27 (four years ago) link
draymonds whole playoff run was awesome. if its just he and steph and some dudes next year he'll have to be like that night in and night out... which just ups his risk of injury too
― big city slam (Spottie), Friday, 14 June 2019 17:29 (four years ago) link

yup pretty much
― lag∞n, Friday, 14 June 2019 18:04 (four years ago) link
truth. even his primary defender was v good to elite. he's a phenomenal offensive player. lotta ppl get a lil thrill at criticizing him, same as they do w Bron, Kobe, MJ etc.
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Friday, 14 June 2019 18:27 (four years ago) link
yeah it comes with the territory for the goats
― big city slam (Spottie), Friday, 14 June 2019 18:28 (four years ago) link
steph is so cute tho its rude hes just a lil guy
― lag∞n, Friday, 14 June 2019 18:29 (four years ago) link
Curry is the least weird energy guy of all the GOATs afaict
― omar little, Friday, 14 June 2019 18:29 (four years ago) link
i mean i love MJ forever but he is *strange*
kobe and mj are straight sociopaths, steph and bron seem pretty chill all things considered, and of course kobe has no business being in this conversation
― lag∞n, Friday, 14 June 2019 18:31 (four years ago) link
Bird seems v normal and chill, tho don't know if he's at GOAT level in everyone's book
― A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Friday, 14 June 2019 18:31 (four years ago) link
I think Olajuwan falls in line with Curry in terms of non-weird GOAT energy.
― A is for (Aimless), Friday, 14 June 2019 18:32 (four years ago) link
lebro is pretty normal yeah but hes had some weird energy moments for sure. steph is just an every day dude for the most part.
― big city slam (Spottie), Friday, 14 June 2019 18:32 (four years ago) link
steph is just beautiful to watch. even tho i was standing for canada, best part was watching him
― flopson, Friday, 14 June 2019 18:48 (four years ago) link
do they measure players' distance traveled? i would be interested to see how much more ground he covers in a game/season than an average player
― mookieproof, Friday, 14 June 2019 19:09 (four years ago) link
i kind of ended up on the bandwagon after all with this series so last night was very fun for me. as sad as it is for gsw fans with with those big injuries i can't help but think that this was probably it for the raptors, they'll lose leonard and end up being a team that makes the playoffs but isn't a real contender (not the worse thing in the world, of course)
― findom haddie (jim in vancouver), Friday, 14 June 2019 19:14 (four years ago) link
also, thinking in glass-half-full terms: they had one shot and they took it, and that doesn't go away
seems like a bargain that every non-spoiled fanbase would take in a heartbeat
― frogbs, Friday, 14 June 2019 19:18 (four years ago) link
kawhi is prob the only star in the league i cld see taking off after winning a ring, like he wldnt even think it was weird, but u gotta think the raps have a good shot at retaining him, they just won it all!
― lag∞n, Friday, 14 June 2019 19:19 (four years ago) link
idk i think Kawhi can leave Toronto a hero with no hard feelings which will make it somewhat easier, the fanbase knew going into this season that he was likely to bolt and this is just the best-case scenario for them and also for him. I think if the Raps lost this series and then he left it would be so much harder on them (and a bit harder on him).
― omar little, Friday, 14 June 2019 19:46 (four years ago) link
I don’t care if Kawhi goes to LA, I’d rather keep him if possible but really as long as Ujiri is at the helm that’s what matters.
― Van Horn Street, Friday, 14 June 2019 20:14 (four years ago) link
Duncan also is a goat and while his energy may be weird it’s in a positive and endearing way.
