I've got a friend who works at ASDA and used to be a smack-head who has this very complex theory that celebs + royals gravitate towards Aston Villa because their name evokes some kind of grandeur and splendour that is probably very missing from the area.

This is indeed fascinating because, as I'm certain I've mentioned here before, one notable scene in Henry Green's "Living" is when two of the characters go to watch an Aston Villa game.

that £14m on Ross McCormack might seem like wise and careful speculation next to FC ILX splurging £20m on Jack Clarke. I know different leagues and all that but he's looked like a bang average L1 player every time I've seen him and I think it is fair to be judgmental - even towards such a young one - he looks like the consummate flatter to deceive overrated young dud and a complete arsehole to boot!
