man gazza really fell in with a bad crowd in the 90s

his general persona/personality has been even more unpleasant than usual for a long time. this sort of macho, ranting idiocy:

He later attacked the BBC for its handling of the decision, describing the call from 5 Live firing him as “a masterclass of pompous faux-gravity”.

He added on Twitter: “They took a tone that said I actually meant that ridiculous tweet and the BBC must uphold blah blah blah. Literally threw me under the bus. Could hear the suits knees knocking.”

obviously there were his (unintentionally) amusing tweets when england lost to iceland in the euros also - he comes across like a football alex jones.

i don't know the business but maybe sometimes the suits are just looking for the first good excuse that comes along

yeah i think if they weren't facing the pensioner license fee black hole in their funding in the coming years it might have been a different outcome. he's become another victim of austerity :p

seems entirely likely that as both he and Camaraderie have stated, he frequently posts pictures of chimps in clothes to represent posh fuckwits, and didn't think "hmm do other people use chimps in clothes to represent other minorities?" in this one instance
