Short pieces sounds...interesting. I'll have to check that one out first. Thanks!

Really enjoyed the recent Ståle Storløkken / Thomas Stronen album as Humcrush and it made me think about the Supersilent albums I might have missed.

three years pass...

Very late to the party* I know, but it's 3:30 in the morning and 4 sounds perfect.

When I was doing college radio between 2007-2012 I must have heard 50-100 CDs from European bands that I would describe as forgettable variations on this sound (loose, jazzy drumming, abrupt electronic noises, amelodic skronk). Folks who were hip to this in the late 90s or thereabouts, Are these guys seen as particularly innovative or influential? I definitely knew the name Supersilent (and the packaging lol), I feel like they were always around and always respected.

*: Bizarrely, what drew me to them was my love of the 2019 Deathprod album, Occulting Disk
