Always impressed by John's ability to find little tunes that feel anthemic--shit that just begs you to sing along. This record is no exception.
A lot of little earwormy bits, too:"I want everyone to get high.""Until my protector comes.""I'm gonna burn it all down today--down today, okay. I'm gonna burn it all down today, and sweep all the ashes away."
Really enjoying it.

Loving the new album. Favourite tracks so far are Clemency For The Wizard King and In League With Dragons.

"Younger" is probably my favourite MG tune ever. Love the sax bit.

I'm still warming to the album as a whole, but "Sicilian Crest" may very well be my favourite song of the year so far.

Enjoyed the free show by the East River the other night (also any show where the stage patter includes "impostor syndrome").
However I will personally book them into a baseball stadium next time so "Doc Gooden" must be performed.
