did anyone remind shah this isn't a 50 over game?
― whatever, Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:07 (fourteen years ago) link
why shah is anywhere near an england squad i'll never know. He's far worse than Vaughan,Bell etc at their very worst
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:08 (fourteen years ago) link
He mustve went to the proper university since louis defends him ;)
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:09 (fourteen years ago) link
He is a liability. And if he manages to stay in for more than two overs scoring runs without actually getting run out he gets cramp.
― GamalielRatsey, Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:09 (fourteen years ago) link
don't forget hussain's commentary: "two great players of spin in at the moment"
― whatever, Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:09 (fourteen years ago) link
that not a no ball? and if he'd been caught from it? suppose it would put us out of our misery. time for another beer...
― whatever, Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:13 (fourteen years ago) link

― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:16 (fourteen years ago) link

England win by 10 wickets, 26 balls to spare.

and another four!!
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:19 (fourteen years ago) link
England basically have to try hit boundaries every ball just to make a decent score
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:20 (fourteen years ago) link
the women's team is a lot more to be proud of
― whatever, Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:20 (fourteen years ago) link
170 has to be the min score to make a game of it and I still think SA would make that comfortably.
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:21 (fourteen years ago) link
To be fair the lost to Australia in the Warmup and India, bizarrely, hadn't played 2020 before coming here.
― Prince of Persia (Ed), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:21 (fourteen years ago) link
Good score on this ground is 180. I reckon you need 200 against SA. So 100-120 off 8 overs....
If they play well they'll get 150.
And SA will go past that after 12 overs.
― whatever, Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:22 (fourteen years ago) link
but at least shah is making a fight of it now, that's all you can ask from anyone
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:23 (fourteen years ago) link

I think if I get back home during a summer I shall go and see an england womens game. Might be quite good.
― Prince of Persia (Ed), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:27 (fourteen years ago) link
at least they win
― whatever, Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:28 (fourteen years ago) link
jesus
― whatever, Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:30 (fourteen years ago) link
England will be lucky if they make 100 now. It's up to Shah to get England to a not quite as embarrassing score.
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:32 (fourteen years ago) link
you called it...

SA will knock off the runs required in under 10 overs
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:40 (fourteen years ago) link
oh dear. India and WI will be licking their lips.
― Achtung Blobby (Neil S), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:50 (fourteen years ago) link
Pathetic,England will not win any games.
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:59 (fourteen years ago) link
almost made it through 20 overs at least.
― Prince of Persia (Ed), Thursday, 11 June 2009 17:59 (fourteen years ago) link
I gotta say it was a good day.

― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 15 June 2009 19:59 (fourteen years ago) link
i hate losing to the WI with their despicable attitude to cricket this year
― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Monday, 15 June 2009 20:12 (fourteen years ago) link
they have had a brilliant attitude to twenty20, give them their due
― gosh I actually dig this shit (country matters), Monday, 15 June 2009 20:16 (fourteen years ago) link
It's unpatriotic and all, but I'd probably rather see WI in the semis than England. Sad to see Colly looking so gutted though.
― Achtung Blobby (Neil S), Monday, 15 June 2009 20:32 (fourteen years ago) link
not enough batting by england from over 11 onwards. broad should have been in before swann and possibly also foster. i'd rather not see WI in the semis. england have been inconsistent in their play but proper in their attitude. SA to win.
